I was formerly a regular at Milano Fashions for years and loved the warmth and openness of the staff. Heck, it even got to the point I saw Muhammad, the owner of the retailer, as a great friend. After one particularly flagrant experience here however, I decided never to come back and have not returned in many years. I was asked by a staff member to keep my eye on a group of black male customers who came into the store together. The staff member asked me this secretively so that they didn't know. He had to go to the back of the store and assist another customer and wanted me to keep an eye on them. As expected, the black customers ended up being harmless and just shopped for what they wanted before leaving. I was shocked because although I am light brown and perhaps mixed looking to some people, I myself am actually African American.
