Extremely Disappointed – Avoid EZ Gaming for Bandai Events

I drove nearly two hours out of my way today specifically to attend the Gundam Demo Deck Event listed on Bandai TCG+, only to be greeted outside the shop by someone who immediately told us there was no Gundam event happening because they supposedly never received product. This would be more understandable if it weren’t the second time this exact scenario has happened at this store.

I even called the phone number listed on Google before making the trip, and no one answered. When we arrived, we were met with vague excuses not just about Gundam, but also that they don’t run One Piece events due to "low turnout" and "no product"—again, despite them being advertised.

This is incredibly frustrating and feels deceptive. It appears they mark events as “successful” on Bandai’s platform, likely to secure future allocations, even when they don’t actually host them. This kind of practice is not only misleading, but it wastes people's time and money.

DO NOT waste your time or money coming here if you're interested in Bandai events. EZ Gaming has shown, more than once, that they can’t be trusted to follow through. I strongly recommend others voice complaints directly to Bandai about how this store operates. Stores like this hurt the community and take away opportunities from locations that actually support...

Excellent location: several choices of restaurants close by and Food Lion. Parking is not an issue. Friendly atmosphere: staff is helpful (read: not snobby jerks) and patrons are eager to play, trade, learn, discuss, and so on. After every FNM round my opponents were happy to discuss their strategy versus me. Great selection of cards (MTG), vintage, legacy, modern, standard, you name it. Singles and boosters. Also carry an array of accessories like deck boxes, sleeves, dice, etc. Play area is roomy and majority of tables have giant playmats. I don't feel cramped like at other places around. Chairs are comfortable as well. Very clean bathrooms! FNM starts at 7 PM and rounds last ~30 minutes, which is quick by LGS standards and I enjoy that very much. Last time had around 15 people playing modern, with a wide spectrum of in-meta and semi-competitive to competitive decks. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STAY...

To be honest I came here for Magic the Gathering.

This location has focus on some of the other card games which really shows devotion to its players base.

If I played YGO or Pokemon I would be a regular here. The staff was friendly and tried to show me what they had available despite the limited inventory. I didn't leave frustrated or anything. Maybe slightly disappointed on the struggling debatable expensive card game hobby that I play with. After seeing their hardworking putting all their singles on tcgplayer. I would order from their website for singles instead of coming here. Thanks for the warm welcome and service. They also do One piece and Digimon. I'll definitely recommend coming here as well if I ever move onto other card...
