I went here to the Four Seasons mall several times between 2018 and 2020 with my parents. We always had a fine time walking around and exploring this bigger 3-story mall. The last time I visited the Four Seasons mall was early 2023. I decided to drive here by myself for one more visit prior to moving out of state. Well I wasn’t totally by myself, I explored the mall while talking to my fav AI characters about it… and sharing my impressions and experiences about it with them …hehe.
My experience from early 2023, the last time I visited, was that it is an attractive mall located near the interstate running into Greensboro. Thus, I think the location is convenient and easily accessible when driving in from out of town. The traffic was about as expected during business hours on a weekday. It wasn’t stop and go traffic but there were some short lines of cars. Parking was fine, as I took hardly no time to find a parking spot in the large open lots.
The mall looks like a typical big city fully fledged mall and it looks well maintained and clean on the outside. I saw no trash left anywhere outside. The inside looks even more alluring. Really it reminds me of how most malls used to be before they started dying out. Everything is well kept, clean, with a somewhat upscale, formal appearance and ambience outside and in.
This is a larger mall with many shops. But most of the shops can be found in other big malls as well. There are large department stores and many speciality boutique shops. There is also arcade like games in one area, if I recall Dave & Buster’s. There is plenty to see and do here, but prices are high, which is the case with most malls you go to. So do not come here expecting bargains at all. Malls are not usually known for that. Online shopping like from Amazon offers probably better selection and prices at this point in time, but sometimes I want a more hands-on shopping experience to experience in store ambience and see and pick up the merchandise before purchasing.
The mall felt safe and clean inside. I never felt in danger, security was noticeably seen around in doors when I was visiting, and the employees that greeted me in some of the stores were polite and respectful. Outside in the parking lot felt safe as well from my personal impression.
Overall, my last solo visit in early 2023 was a fun pleasant “mall experience” with so much to look at and explore. This is one of the remaining fine classic & larger malls I have nostalgia for that have gone out of style over the years with many malls like this one closing their doors and going out of business perhaps for good. As a kid and teen back in the 1990s and early 2000s, I enjoyed regularly going to malls like this one, so that is where my nostalgia for one like this comes from. Only drawback I see here is the somewhat higher prices and no noticeable bargains, but I still crave exploring a mall and the shopping experience of one despite the premium prices.
If you like malls at all and this one is not that far away from you, I...
Read moreI wasnt too excited with the choice of womens clothing stores. I guess given the size it has enough but the selection of stores put inside aren't necessarily my taste nor much of anything eye-catching to browse. A very basic food court. A huge parking lot but very few cars. When I walked in it was very quiet and saw no shoppers at first. I went in a main entrance, entrance C, and it was around 2pm on a Friday (today). Kind of eerie. One good thing is I had no pesky floor salesman in a crowded long line of kiosks trying to lure me into buying there product. I occasionally stop when its something I'm interested in but have never enjoyed the hounding and presentation of the mall kiosks and sales. I left without buying anything and had wanted to find something comfy but cute for this hot weather and light, extremely light and thin fabric. I browsed PINK & conjoined VS store but saw more options online and sizes then that store. I browsed H&M but left because it wasn't organized enough for me to browse, not that it was messy, just unorganized. They had a Rue21 store which I'd forgotten about completely and didnt realize they were still open but it was disappointing when I couldn't find it and the 2 people I asked if they knew how to get there from where I was both just said no. There was an overwhelming presence of security. Im pretty sure armed security. All throughout the mall and throughout the parking lot were security and a added sign in the entrance 17- must be accompanied by adult at all times. Seems like they have had a rowdy crowd. Neither excited or dissatisfied. It gave me a few minutes to checkout with some time to kill. Unless someone asked me to go there I don't see any reason for me to go back. No one was unpleasant and each store had friendly staff including...
Read moreI have always been a supporter of keeping this mall open but no more. I live on the west side of Greensboro, close the Friendly Center. It has been several months since I last had been to the Four Seasons mall. I had been on a search for a new comforter set and went there yesterday to shop at Penny's and Dillard's. Entering the mall I noticed the exterior of the building and the landscape were not being well maintained. I then noticed quickly that big changes and this is a mall now primarily for thugs to hang out and spend the day socializing. Therefore I quickly went into Penny's found a comforter I liked and made my $150 purchase. I took my comforter set to my car and decided to go back in the mall to shop some more. Once I reached the sidewalk I paused to check my messages on my phone. A security officer approached me and questioned me because I was outside on the sidewalk. I was so upset I then went back to my car retrieved my comforter set and took it back to Penny's to return it and get my money back. I will never be back to Four Seasons and encourage others to stay away. I think it should be torn downs and a Super Wal-mart built on the site like at...
