I revisited the Bog Garden after about 30 years away, just recently. I do think it was created when I was about 10 years old and living in Greensboro. I have to say, I’m so impressed with how well this unique biome has been preserved over the last three decades. The crews have been knocking back invasive river cane and promoting a healthy bog silt ecosystem.

Read more9-3-2020 - Terrible damage from Hurricane Michael on October 10, 2018 has sadly left an indelible mark on this once beautiful park. It is also currently in a state of transition where Park Staff are attempting to remove all 'non-NC originating plants, shrubs, and trees' from it, which currently leaves it looking a bit 'strip mined'.
