WEEKEND ADVENTURE!!!!! Not youâre a typical consignment shop. They take anything and everything. From high-end art and furniture, to every day kitchen items and gardening equipment! And whatâs even better, the longer a particular item stays in the store, the lower the price gets! And if youâre lucky enough to find an item that Has truly outlasted its âdaysâ in the store you can even try haggling the price down. Iâm not saying it works every time but it is a lot of fun! This is a huge facility! The front areas display the more high end and rare items, but keep wandering through the store and youâll find a door into the âbeyondâ section. I canât even tell you what you may find!!! A washing machine one day, a patio table set the next, and maybe an antique loom the third!!!! Itâs as much museum as it is retail! Grab a coffee at the place across the street, and begin your adventure!!!! New items arrive EVERY DAY!!!! Iâm obsessed I furnished nearly my entire home with the help of the âRed Collectionâ and then I completely furnished my aunts ENTIRE new house with exquisite pieces at a fraction of the cost if bought new!!!! Canât find what you want!? Thereâs another location on Holden Road!!!!!! Happy shopping or...
Read moreI came in today for the first time ever hoping to consign a piece of furniture. The woman at the counter sent me around to the loading dock, where the owner quickly helped me with paperwork and getting a consignor number. During this process, I stood by the loading dock near the desk. As I was about to leave, I stayed where I was standing and chatted for approximately 2 minutes with another consignor. Out of nowhere, a blonde woman in a Red Collection shirt snapped "Yeah, you're in the way. You need to move or you can leave. You're in the way." I realize that this doesn't sound that bad, but her tone was so viciously hateful that I truly could not believe it.
I did not see her at all while I was speaking to the other patron, and again, I cannot stress the brevity of the conversation enough. Even if I was in her way, it could not have been for longer than approximately 45 seconds, and it certainly did not warrant that kind of reaction. I felt chastened and just took my receipt and left. Absolutely terrible first impression, and I will not be back. The only reason for the two stars is for how helpful the owner was during...
Read moreSheila will be the destruction of this location. We came in 10-15 minutes before closing and was working quickly to locate and purchase our items. The time was 5:27pm when the establishment closes at 5:30. Sheila, who may or may not be the manager (I hope not), was rude and standoffish when asked about why the lights were turned off before closing time. Her snide remarks and grotesque attitude AND, frankly, racist taunting has destroyed my opinion of THIS red collection. However, the sister store, on S Holden Road, has EXCELLENT customer service. The workers, all of them, were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the items we were purchasing. No lights were turned off while we were viewing items and I left with my things and a smile. If you prefer a plentiful and glamorous shopping experience, do not visit this location.
The bright side: This location has an impeccable collection. It is sickening to think that I will never be able to view it on my own. My partners will have to purchase for us.
