This is the worst place I have ever worked at. Iâm going to detail everything this job has put me through in more or less chronological order. When I was interviewed, I asked the assistant manager if I would be getting full time hours, which I noted were important because Iâm helping my partner pay her tuition, I was told that I would be getting those full time hours. Before I got the confirmation of the job, I called the store and the head manager answered. I asked what the pay period was, and she said it was two weeks from when I would start, on Friday. I started work last Wednesday, August 30th 2023, and budgeted to be paid today, on Friday, September 8th 2023, but weâll get back to that later. The first few days of work went fine, I was enjoying my work, and the staff were kind to me, including the managers. As the days went on, however, I noticed the management getting more and more cold towards me, not speaking to me unless it was work related, ignoring my questions, and reprimanding me more and more harshly for mistakes. I also realized I wasnât receiving proper training, as I was reprimanded for things that I didnât even know I was supposed to do. It all came to a tipping point today when I went in to work, and offhandedly asked about my pay, as it wasnât in my account. I was told I would be payed next week, and when I explained to both managers on duty that I didnât have the money to get to work (I take the bus) if I wasnât paid, the head manager essentially said she didnât care, and the assistant manager said âoh so you quit?â To which I said âI donât want to.â He then said âitâs fineâ and walked inside, not letting me finish. I then called a friend, who lent me bus money. When I called to ask if I still had a job, the head manager picked up but I could hear the assistant manager yelling (they had opened at this point) that I had said I quit and that I should not be allowed back. I have contacted corporate who told me this is a franchise location, and who have passed my number onto the owner. I have told people I know about this situation and many of them have decided not to eat here because of it, and to be honest, my hope with this review is to persuade others to...
Read moreWell, that chick knows her chicken salad!
Went for lunch, had a cup of potato soup, a Dill-Icious Diva scoop, and a strawberry side salad with poppy dressing. And they give you a small sample of the sugar cookie with your meal.
The atmosphere is light, restaurant was clean and, very welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially to a first timer.
Indoor and outdoor seating are available. Seating is limited. It is a smaller location, so I would get there before they have a lunch rush or after. Service animal friendly! Staff didn't give a side eye or judge faces.
The chicken salad was light, not heavy in mayo or Dill. Not enough cucumber bits. Then again, I am a cucumber lover, so I could always use more. It's just a personal preference.
Those that fillow me know, I hate getting a wilted salad. This salad was refreshing. The lettuce was crisp, strawberries and fugi apples were firm and ripe, colors vibrant. Feta cheese was firm and fresh. The cranberry and pecans were a great additive for tart and savory. "Nut allery be aware." The poppyseed dressing was creamy but not overly sweet. Good combination overall. The salad was a great refreshingly balanced.
Was the potatoe soup pretty good? I don't think it was made in-house. I've tasted this soup in other chain restaurants.. The potato soup hit the spot in a pinch, just doesn't stand out in a crowd. The name of the restaurant isn't the soup chick, so I can't complain. I'll copywrite that soup-chick name, lol.
The sample cookie they add to your meal and orders is a melt in your mouth buttery sensation. Not too sweet, not too soft, not too crunchy. Just melt in your mouth goodness. I had to take one home to enjoy with a cup-a.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience, with friendly, helpful staff, a delightfully delicious meal on a beautiful day and...

The ladies name was marlene. Bad experience iâm not sure what people like her expect a mother to do when their child is acting this way I canât jerk my child up and beat her. She is a child. She is going to have tantrums every now and then Iâll I can do is try to calm her down the best I can so it wonât be awkward for anyone but the way she treated...
