My first time at this historical venue was just this summer seeing Bricks In The Wall. It was so nice to see a great band locally that I would normally have to go see in Dallas. Great show and a really nice small venue that only holds 1400. For this show, it might have been 400 to 500 there, so it was very comfortable. Parking is within the downtown area, and we parked next door in the post office lot. There is also a church lot and on street parking. Entering is very easy, and you either walk up steps to go into the venue or take the elevator up. Men and women's restrooms are at each end of the main venue entrance. There is a really cool balcony in the theater as well. Seats were comfortable and nice leg room for someone 5'10. No alcohol was sold that I witnessed. There were concessions, but I did not see where that was located or brought in by patrons from outside. There was no searching by staff entering the venue. I'm sure you could throw some water bottles in the purse to bring in. I didn't get any pictures, but I will be returning for another show in September and will post some pics. You won't be disappointed in this venue.
Caught a [mostly] 70's Era band last night, Vinyl Radio.
They brought their A game- Class experience in modern style!!
Live on Stage every single song took us to the day you first heard the beats. As stated in Patron Program -"Vinyl Radio is better than a time machine. They're keeping the best music alive." (Walter Egan "Magnet & Steel").
Glancing around you may have thought you slipped inside a retirement community. There were few youngsters in the crowd. It didn't stop the loyal Patrons from venturing out to hear Classic Rock melodies and delightful big-hair, big-bell-bottom tunes!
Greenville has returned the Live Entertainment in a VERY updated space [comfy seats enough leg room] and taken live performances to an entirely new level.
Quaint venue and perfec for all genres.
Hidden gem of Texas...
Read moreI saw the last concert (Three Dod Night) BEFORE the upcoming remodel, so the ratings may improve next time. This concert: The seats in the balcony are NOT made for adults. My daughter is 5'3" and couldn't sit straight without hitting her knees on the chair in front of her. It was worse for me, and a real skinny person might find the width okay. I'm a medium. The sound may have been okay in the floor seats, but the sound quality in the balcony was poor. The instruments were too loud and covered the voices of the singers. I loved the style of the theater. The staff gets 5 stars for helpfulness and being friendly. I did enjoy the evening but was disappointed by the lack of comfort and sound quality. I'm looking forward to seeing another show after...
