WOW! From the staff to the food it was amazing. When we first arrived the door was locked due to a storm with high winds blowing in. The grandpa of the restaurant unlocked the door and it was explained that the wind was actually blowing it open and blowing items around in the lobby.
The young lady got our food order and the young boy got our drinks. Mom was in the kitchen preparing what I would dare to call the best street tacos I have ever eaten. The beef was very tender and juicy and they came with plenty of cilantro. I also had a burrito that was awesome in a homemade flour tortillia.
The food was packaged to go and came with verde creamy sauce that was good and a rosa spicy sauce (like sriracha) for those who dare like myself. Both were very good sauces!!!!
The restrooms were clean and well stocked with paper product. The lobby was spotless (although only one table eating in from Covid-19.) The whole experience was great and the food was past amazing!
We dont live in Greenville but on occasion come to play PokemonGo. Not only will I definately come back every time, I went back on the same day and placed another order to go for later.
If your looking for a family run restaurant with amazing mexican food this is it! The table eating in looked very good and well! Prices were reasonable and about average for the food we ordered.
Next time maybe my ordered food will last long enough for me to take a picture of before I...
Read moreWe had a wonderful experience dining here! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a young lady who assisted us with our order. She was incredibly friendly, took the time to ask if we had been there before, and gave great suggestions based on the best-sellers. There is a lot of items on the menu and it took me a few minutes to make a decision. But I didn’t feel any pressure. Her welcoming attitude made the whole experience even better.
We started with fresh chips and tasty salsa—perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. I was impressed by the selection of Mexican drinks available—at least seven types! I was especially happy to find horchata, my favorite, and it did not disappoint.
For our meals, I ordered the birria tacos and my husband got the corn street tacos that came with a side of refried beans and rice. Everything came out hot and looked amazing. The birria tacos were rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My husband really enjoyed his meal as well—he said the refried beans were some of the best he’s had!
Overall, the food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was inviting. We’ll definitely be...
Read moreGreenville has plenty of great places to eat but LA Catrina Street Tacos has to be in Greenville royalty for food. My family of 3 is so happy we chose this place.
We ordered Birria Taco Plates (2) and a cheese quesadilla for my 6 year old. They also gave him two lollipops on our way out.
The birria tacos were fresh and they have a salsa bar with multiple sauces, fresh veggies and free chips and salsa. We ate here at 2:30 during slow hours but the food was still fresh.
You order at the front and get your own chips and salsa, so if you're on a budget and afraid you can't tip a server, there is no worries about that.
Workers can eat lunch here quickly on a budget, families of 3 can eat here for ~$30.
Last but not least, the staff was very kind. They have space for a large party as well. We will be consistent regulars.
Thank you La Catrina Street Tacos! We will...
