After previous comparison shopping at several places for outdoor furniture for a large covered (but not screened) open side porch at our new home, I ended up back at Firehouse and spent two hours looking at and trying out chairs and tables. Good, patient help and advice was provided as I was making decisions. We are so pleased with what we purchased -- 54" table w/ invisible lazy susan & 6 chairs, including regular dining & swivel dining, plus spur of the moment decision to purchase two of the club swivel rockers and a lovely small side table for more casual seating. Delivery of the furniture was on time and went perfectly, with heads-up call ahead of time. The delivery men were extremely courteous and careful in placing the furniture and adjusting the foot sliders, a very nice feature on base of chair & table legs that allows any uneven wobbling to be corrected. This was a great feature since our porch floor has brick pavers. The delivery men also made a point to thank us very sincerely for our business. Now my husband is ready to buy more of the club chairs and is trying to figure out where he could put a couple more for guests -- he believes they are the most comfortable chairs he's ever sat in and I agree, so we will be enjoying sitting in them every chance possible! This quality high-end outdoor furniture is worth the extra dollars and we appreciate the entire excellent experience. We are now very happy "open porch campers" and highly recommend the wide selection and helpful staff at Greenville's...
Read moreUnprofessional and lacking integrity! We recently spent $7800 on furniture from this store. With COVID-related logistics/supply problems, everything was "special order" with 3-8 month wait times. We tried to return 2 patio chairs ($992 each) the day they arrived. We contacted the sales person, Miranda, who explained the Store Manager would be contacting us. Over the following 17 days we periodically called with those messages also going unanswered. The Manager, Michael, finally called me today to explain we could return the chairs for "a 50% restocking fee." He further indicated the remaining 50% would NOT be refunded in the form of cash. Rather, it would be applied to a store credit. Michael, after, for some reason, explaining he "has been in the furniture business since leaving the Marine Corps," told me there is a 50% restocking fee on all "special order" items. More disappointing than the 50% robbery was that either Michael or Miranda lied. Miranda acted surprised Michael hadn't called us back while Michael insisted nobody asked him to call us. BUYER BEWARE!! —- The phone number “Mr. H” left was answered with an unprofessional canned recording with no indication it was even a business number. If Public Relations really mattered to “Mr. H”, he could have personally reached out to me. Professionalism and integrity matter. Again,...
Read moreOur experience here is proof that you don't always get what you pay for! We paid nearly $14K for patio furniture, and waited 5 months for it! When it was finally delivered, we were sent the wrong umbrella (a 7 foot round instead of the 9 foot rectangular we ordered), a damaged heater, and a loaner umbrella base that didn't fit because ours was not ordered with the rest of the furniture for some reason. The correct umbrella was delivered the next day, and we just settled for a different base. We had to wait an additional month for the replacement heater. When it was delivered, it was the wrong color AND it was damaged. It has since been replaced. Apparently, nobody checks the merchandise for correctness and damage before sending it to the customer. During this fiasco, my wife was in contact with the general manager. I tried to contact the owner to make him aware of the multiple issues, but like most poorly run businesses, the owner insulates himself from his customers. The lady I spoke with claimed to not know who the owner was. We would have done much better to just get the Home Depot or Lowes setup and save on...
