It looks like they have good reviews once you’re in the class, but the experience I had was 1/5….
I had booked an anniversary class for a Sunday evening for my wife and I because our 2nd date was a paint and wine night (at a different place) and we had a lot of fun interacting and painting. We showed up for our class to a locked door and empty room. Then once the gentleman came up front opened the door there was a strong cigarette smell inside. We asked if we were the only ones and the answer was yes. We were a little bummed and felt a little weird and asked if we could reschedule because it felt awkward to be the only ones in a cigarette smelling room, then we were told we’d have to email the owner. I think the owner was supposed to message us before the class because he just told us to respond to that email, but we didn’t get one. So then he proceeded to give us 3 different emails to reach out to.
Finally the owner reached out with a “Thanks for joining our Roster” and attached the cancellation policy. Nothing indicated he had read the message we sent. I asked if he had read the email I sent because the message we received of joining a roster didn’t make sense. And got a very short response of “your message was received and we cannot accommodate your request”.So we lost our money, which was a risk according to the cancellation policy. I really was surprised there was no way we could reschedule or no interaction for some sort of customer service.
Anyway, if you go I hope you have a better experience and I hope the owner takes some critical feedback to help improve the business. Wine and paint nights can be a lot of fun!
Main points here are.

Read moreI've really enjoyed all of the experiences I had at Wine & Design. There's never been a time when I haven't left with awesome memories of painting with friends and had a painting to take home that makes me smile. My positive impressions of Wine & Design took a hit when I got a gift certificate from a friend right before the start of the pandemic so that we could attend a class together to make chunky afghans ($150 between the two of us). Because of medical risk factors, we didn't comfortable attending a class in-person during the pandemic, especially given that Greenville was a COVID hot spot. So, we waited until we were both vaccinated and the worst of the pandemic had waned. But, by that time, the gift certificate had expired four months earlier. I emailed to explain the situation to see if they would honor the value of the gift card considering the extenuating circumstances. They offered me a 20% coupon code, but refused to accept the gift card. My review is to warn people before purchasing a Wine & Design gift card. There's zero flexibility in their gift card policies -- even during a global...
Read moreMy wife and I had a very disappointing experience with this business. We paid for an art class and were told we could pick up our pieces two days after the event. When we arrived—at the same time a posted 6:30 Spartanburg class had been scheduled and according to their posted hours—no one was there. Driving an hour out of the way to only receive a curt response from the owner about them being able to cancel classes at any time. The phone number provided was either incorrect or non-functional, and we were never able to speak with anyone directly.
After multiple attempts to reach out, we finally received an email response, but it was very short and curt, offering no apology or real help. The only positive part of this experience was the artist, Josh, he was great and we thought he done an excellent job.
The overall communication and customer service was extremely poor from the owner/manager. We will not be doing business with them again and would not recommend...
