I had been actively searching for a very specific car for months. An abundant car but with a set of options that were less so. Mine was a nationwide search and I was considering both private party and dealer listings. I found a car that looked like it might work near Greenwich, Ct., about a 4 hour drive from my home. This was a private party sale and I phoned New Country Porsche to inquire about a few things that might be an issue with the car. Even though they werenât involved with the car I had a great conversation with Rich Del Mazzio about the possible issues and his general take on the model that I was looking for. Rich remarked at this time that if I wasnât interested in the car could I pass along the information as they might be interested in adding to their pre-owned inventory. Rich assured me he would not try to snipe me on the car before I had my look which I appreciated as, not knowing this dealer, the thought crossed my mind. Well, the car was a dud and on my way home I decided that, rather than phone Rich, I would stop by the dealer and convey my thoughts. I spent a few moments looking around the showroom, meeting a few sales associates, and shared my thoughts with Rich. About 15 minutes after leaving the dealer I got a call from Rich that he had a customer that was trading in his custom ordered car for a newly ordered one. As Rich ticked off the options I knew I was very interested in the trade in. I told Rich that I was still in the area and that I would head back to New Country to have a look. He then told me that the car would not be available for anywhere from 4 to 7 weeks and that he would send me the build sheet. He told me that he would give me a ring when it got close to time and to keep in touch over the next month or so. Well, I viewed this as a bit of a long shot but was impressed with my interactions to this point with the dealer so I decided to stop my search and wait for the trade. It was a long 6 + weeks but the new car finally arrived and the trade was made, CPOâd and prepped for sale. Rich called to let me know and I drove up immediately. I knew that if the car was correct that I would make the deal that day. Upon arrival the car was exactly what I was after and as represented by Rich. I was introduced to Fred Adler, who would handle the sale, and we got down to business. The negotiation took all of 10 minutes; I left a deposit and had a car! New Country needed a week or so to finish a few items on the CPO list so I drove home and picked up the car a week or so later. Fred picked me up at the train station and we finished the deal that afternoon. Again, everything went smooth and Noah, in finance, was just an easy to deal with as Rich and Fred. I canât recommend New Country Porsche...
Read moreAn Appalling Experience with an Arrogant Salesperson! âPretty Womanâ movie in real life. We visited the dealership because we are on a market for a new car (specifically we are between Cayenne and Macan models). However, our experience was marred by the unacceptable behavior of the salesperson, who exhibited an astonishing level of rudeness and arrogance that we have seldom encounter. From the moment we stepped onto the showroom floor, the salesperson's demeanor was nothing short of condescending. With an air of superiority he scrutinized us from head to toe, meticulously counting each item of clothing we wore, as if judging our worthiness to be in his presence. This was âPretty Womanâ moment except that we both wore expensive brand so what ?! đ the irony! The salesperson's arrogance escalated as he proceeded to interrogate my husband, quizzing him on his knowledge of Porsche models and questioning his preferences in a manner that can only be described as demeaning. When my husband expressed interest in the Turbo model, the salesperson had the audacity to challenge his choice, questioning why he would desire such a "special" vehicle, as if my husband's preferences were subject to his approval. As I witnessed this appalling display of rudeness and condescension, I felt a profound sense of discomfort and embarrassment for my husband, who was being subjected to such disrespectful treatment. Despite our financial capability to purchase the vehicle outright, my husband, unaccustomed to being bullied by a salesperson, made the wise decision to terminate the interaction and leave the premises. This encounter stands as one of the most bizarre and unpleasant shopping experiences we have ever endured. The salesperson's arrogance and utter lack of professionalism were truly astounding, leaving us with a lasting impression of disbelief and disappointment! Ended up doing business with Larchmont Porche (Gary is your guy!). Shame on Greenwich and reading other reviews, looks like...
Read moreIncredibly disappointed with this dealership. Iâll tell you why, and you can decide for yourself. I drove 3 hours to this dealership after making an appointment 2 days in advance to see a used Boxster. We arrived, asked for the associate we spoke to on the phone who confirmed the car was still available since we were traveling- Aldo Camara- who gladly showed us the car. It was used, cheapest thing on the lot Iâm sure-but if the dealership wasnât concerned with giving good customer service on even a âcheapâ car they listed, they should have sent it to auction. We found out the car hadnât even undergone their standard intake safety inspection after driving all the way there with two days notice, yet they priced and listed it for sale. Nonetheless we were interested, assuming a clean bill of health, and made the dealership an offer. Aldo conferred with the sales manager, who said he would take $22k, but that was as low as he could go. We said we could get comfortable, but Aldo advised the car get the safety inspection-so if we were paying that much more than we offered we knew why. We left with a promise they would do the inspection next day. A few days later, car was inspected and bill of health returned. Dealer had to do some minor maintenance work-oil change, rear tires, replace horn. Only now, they reneged on their $22K offer and wanted more. I was surprised by this. Donât price a car, then offer a lower number, only to take it back because you didnât do all your homework on its current state. We said weâd split the difference from their original quote and new quote. This was noon on Friday. No call back from Aldo that day, no call on Saturday, closed on Sunday, no call on Monday. We texted Aldo Tuesday morning to ask-what gives?? Simply a text response back that they sold it Saturday to someone else. No call, no decency to reply to our counter timely-even if to say no. Come to this dealership if you want to play games. We wonât be visiting again and hope you too...
