I went to this place with my family, we couldn't get a table as it was crowded, so planned to get a carryout. While we were waiting, the person in charge told us we have a table and we could take it. Once we were there they asked if they would like to keep the existing order or cancel it and reorder. We wanted to reorder as we were having it here. The person who gave us the menu and the person who made the take our order where different people and they forgot to cancel the original order.
They gave us a starter and then the manager came in and told us they wouldn't be able to cancel our original order and we don't have a choice than to take it. We said we already cancelled it and they didn't agree to it easily. They made such a big fuss that everyone's attention was at our table. We did let it go since we didn't want them to spoil our mood. Then after serving us the starter they made us wait 40 minutes before serving the main dish and when asked, they said since you cancelled the order it will take time. Infact we only changed two items from our original carry out order, still they made us wait - probably, their way of treating us. And trust me everyone who placed their orders with us or after us also got their food. I lost my cool and was about to leave, the owner came in tried to calm things down, we lost our appetite by that time. Worst of it all was, the food that they served us was not even hot (or) warm, my gut says they did it intentionally. I offered to pay the bill for the cancelled items too. But the owner said it's not our fault and that the manager there shouldn't have nagged us for their mistake!
This happened a while ago, but this is the only place where I had such a worst experience in the US. "No complaints about the food though! Was very good" - but who cares with such a service and such...
Read moreI recently ordered a large tray of chicken dum biryani and two servings of veg biryani from this restaurant for a party, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The quantity of food provided was generous, perfect for a gathering. The taste, however, exceeded my expectations, making it one of the best biryanis I've ever had in the United States.
I want to extend my appreciation to Chef Masudur Rahman for not only crafting such delicious dishes but also for seamlessly handling my large order and ensuring timely delivery. The restaurant's delivery service was impeccable, living up to their commitment of delivering orders right on time.
I highly recommend all customers to try their biryani; you'll undoubtedly experience a flavor that surpasses that of other restaurants. In my opinion, this restaurant stands out for its exceptional biryani, and I am confident you'll agree once you...
Read moreThe only good thing about this restaurant is that they have an incredible sense of customer service. I used to live in New Rochelle and they still personally delivered food to me. Also, when it comes to food, although it isn't authentic, but I think they did that to better suit the palate of the locale. The locality is pretty rich and white so spice is out of question, but the mere taste and earthy tasty of the Indian food still remains as a gist. All in all I usually order lamb biryani, mango lassi, any bread is good here, Chinese needs some work, and surely the Chaat. The owner and chef are kind and they sound genuine as they talk, also they would work with your level of Indian...
