Bella Nona has been around a long time but I think it’s time they throw in the towel- the food has steadily been going downhill ( think school cafeteria lunch) and the owner and waitress of 11 years are rude, condescending and argumentative. We ordered eggplant parm and the sauce was burnt, clearly left on the stove too long and scalded on the bottom- and drowning in oil- the mussels ( yes, shoulda thought twice on that one) were fishy smelling despite their attempt to disguise the decay with an overload of garlic- def avoided food poisoning by spitting the first one out. I asked for goat cheese on my salad not blu cheese to which the owner demeaningly explained the salad comes as it’s listed on the menu, the goat cheese was IN ADDITION to the regular salad- that was a first as far as hearing that one. And as I said, I called them to let them know, in a most professional way, that our entire meal was inedible. My polite demeanor was met first with a overly tasked waitress who informed me she was to busy with customers to talk to me and said she would pass my phone number to the owner-who was out doing errands but would be back in time for the busy dinner shift- I asked how might he have time to call me back if it’s so busy- flustered she hung up- I did not get a call back and had to call again a day later- I did get the owner Tony who clearly had been briefed by the waitress and was loaded for bear when he came to the phone. Abrasive, rude, condescending, and defensive. After flatly refusing any type of accommodation He directed me to contact door dash with whom I had placed the order with and was unwilling to accept any accountability for the disgusting food he sent me. I contacted door dash who pleasantly listened and was empathetic to my horrific experience, refunded me and after hearing about my entire experience is reconsidering including them in their delivery service. Beware, unless you like burnt rotten...
Read moreLost my business for good for how they handled this. No description of pancetta being in the 2 dishes I ordered with them, via DoorDash. My friend and I don't eat pork so after discovering there was pork in both dishes, I called in and spoke to a lady on the phone to express my concern and hopefully get the dishes replaced. She placed me on hold for a moment and I heard her entire conversation with the chef there. The chef showed zero sympathy, and complained when he asked her how much the total is ($53) and that I'd need to pay again for new dishes. For a restaurant that's been in business in Greenwich for 25+ years, one would think a customer's satisfaction is worth more than $50. Although the lady on the phone called me back after speaking to her manager, the manager proposed only paying for 1 dish to be replaced instead of both. Seeing that it seemed like I was asking for the moon...

We called on a Friday afternoon on a Hail Mary request to get 40 people in for an 8 o’clock dinner on a Friday night after a soccer game. I had zero expectations to actually get in, but somehow they worked some magic and made it happen.
This place is super cute and cozy. The staff is friendly and patient, and they found a way to feed 40 people all at once and last minute. The food was tasty, and everyone was super impressed with the space and the service.
Michelle the manager went above and beyond to accommodate us when most people wouldn’t bother to try. 40 people last minute is a big ask, and they nailed it. Thank you for the good food and hospitality staff of Bella Nonna! If we are ever back in the area again we will be sure to stop by. Just maybe a few less mouths to feed, and a little more...
