Can't beat this, the smallest of the GP parks, for fun and lake access. Great pool (with deep diving well) with plenty of chairs, umbrellas, etc.
It has a marina with boat and jet ski docks, a quay that allows fishing in Lake St. Clair and space for housing and renting kayaks.
Park itself has dozens of picnic tables, grills (bring your own charcoal) and lots of space, including a volleyball net and winter hockey rink.
Playground and climbing area, a little protected pavilion and tons of sponsored activities like crafts, family movies, swim team, fall festival make it a great individual or family...

The person who was in charge there was very pleasant about it and everything. My visit was kinda in the off season. I could have gone in anyhow (not a locked gate or anything), but don't want to invade the neighborhood's space.

They have wagons and carts available right at the entrance of the park for easy access to unload your car. While there is nobody one covered pavilion,there are a lot more family or grad parties here.
