Kercheval Place — Local services in Grosse Pointe

This Trader Joes is awesome. Found many things that were over a dollar cheaper than kroger, sometimes the same brand even. Quality is great. The best thing about this location, though, is the employees. They are the nicest and most helpful people I have ever experienced in a market setting, and we've talked to many of them. I highly recommend this Trader Joes, and I also recommend asking the employees for their opinion on the different products, they know whats good! On a side note, I went shopping with my mother a few months back. We saw a type of avocado that neither of us have seen before, and started talking about what we think it might taste like. A Trader Joes employee overheard us and came to explain the difference between that and a normal avocado. When he was done, he grabbed one and said, "cmon, ill cut one up so you can taste it." To start, this isn't a place, just a mid-point on Kercheval Avenue in Grosse Pointe.

There are several fountains and water walls with a number of benches for sitting, eating TCBY and people watching.

It's kind of a central gathering space for socializing, especially when it's nice outside.

Super convenient to 'The Village', which is what Pointers call this shopping area. Major grocery and drugstore chain, lots of quick dining, a couple sit down places and your usual selection of random small shops for a small town.

I visit here specifically to shop at Trader Joe's. This particular store is always well staffed, well stocked and clean. Also, their produce is high quality and very reasonably priced. This will sound shocking, but it's actually cheaper to shop at Trader Joe's than at Kroger (for example). Trader Joe's is not able to carry the variety a large grocer can, but the quality is many steps above and the pricing on par, and even cheaper, especially in fruits and vegetables.
