I have gone to the Soak House several times and each time I go, the experience is subpar from the previous. They continue to raise prices and decrease services. This last visit, I did not recognize any of the staff and I was just there in February. The staff I interacted with were cordial, but not friendly. They were just going through the motions and trying to get us out the door. All the previous times, my cousin and I have been together in the lounge area and sauna. Then we separate for massages and soaks. This time, we were separated the entire time. I was asked to cut 10 mins off of one of my services because they were running behind with no explanation. It didn't matter that I sat in the lounge area and waited over this time frame for them to get ready for my next services. At checkout I asked why this happened and it was because I only arrived 5 mins before my appointment. I told them I have done this every other time I have come and it has never been an issue. She said they do that to everyone. I brought up that my cousin arrived with me and had the exact same appointment time. She was not asked to cut time from one of her services. I was told it was because of how the schedule fell. I will no longer be back because they are not fair and consistent. The only positive from this visit was my massage from Cozy. She is fantastic and good at her job. This was my first time to have her and it saddens me that I not be back to have another...
Read moreI went to the spa with my mom and sister who live out of town. The spa itself was wonderful. The soaks were relaxing and services were great. The staff were very sweet and attentive. The issue we had with the spa is that because we were a group of 3, we had to pay an extra 10% on top of the service price. The “booking fee” is not applied to the service at all (to make sure we don’t cancel), nor does it go towards gratuity. It is simply a fee because I called to reserve services for more than 2 people. We did not even have any services together in a room— each of us remained in our own soak room or service room. I have been to many spas, booking for the three of us, and have never been charged a blatent 10% up-charge just for booking. When I asked about it, I was told this charge was to deter big, loud parties from booking and disrupting the quiet spa. However, we were not loud and remained quiet in all the relaxation rooms. I was advised to have each of us call and schedule separately to avoid the charge in the future. We loved the spa, but I cannot support a $50 up-charge for bringing them more business. I feel as if this company could choose a lot of other ways to deal with those kinds of crowds than to charge extra for people who come to relax together while remaining respectful to the staff and other guests coming to...
Read moreUnfortunately did not enjoy my experience as much as I did previously. I was taken into the couples soak room, so I reminded her that I booked the starry room. She said that is correct, I was just in the couple soak room to change into the robe. I felt awkward not to be in the changing room. The robe was too small and I was uncomfortable. I thought they must have changed to "one size fits almost all", but when I changed back into my clothes, this time in the actual changing room, there was my size robe hanging up. The soak itself just wasn't the same without the charcuterie board... That was such a treat previously. Now, it's a packaged cookie, salty mix packet and a small wrapped piece of chocolate. I could hardly detect the minerals in the tub, and there was one lone dried flower floating around. When I checked out, I was told the charge was $100, and then she said " Oh wait! It's $80... I don't know why I said that." I handed her a $100 bill and she didn't have change available and said she would have to go get it. . I think I'll stay home from now on and use my garden...
