I have been a long time customer of Batteries Plus, but this was my first experience with the Hales Corners location. Unaware to me, this location is a franchise store which is different from many other locations- and they are definitely NOT in the business of correcting their wrongs or supporting their customers when unfortunate circumstances occur.
I had a HORRIBLE customer service experience with the store manager after they sold me a faulty battery for a family heirloom watch that needed to be powered for a wedding in honor of my late grandfather. Long story short, the battery stopped working LESS THAN A WEEK LATER, and when I brought it in to be replaced again, this time the watch glass was shattered the morning of the wedding by another Batteries Plus employee.
The watch was supposed to be photographed in a set of 6 with my ailing grandmother, and as you could imagine, that was not able to happen and may never be able to happen again as all six watches were inherited by family members all around the States.
I would not have been in the situation if they had not sold me a faulty battery in the first place. The store manager did not show an ounce of remorse or even attempt to apologize for the distress that was caused by their selling of a faulty battery, and he held a solid stance against a simple act of empathy. He refused to refund my money for the faulty battery and instead of offering any sort of support he preferred to turn up his nose and send me out of the store claiming there was absolutely nothing they did wrong.
I completely understand that things accidentally break or end up faulty. Unfortunate circumstances happen as we are all human, but when a business does not support their customers when these things do happen, it is not a business that I will EVER continue to support. I urge you to think twice and visit a corporate Batteries Plus location, as I have had wonderful experiences when issues arise at...
Read moreFantastic Experience! The owner spent over 1/2 hour trying to determine why my new pepper grinder that was powered by rechargeable batteries would not work. He was so determined and helpful. He showed me that there were two peppercorns stuck inside of the base. He tried to get them out but we could not open the grinder to get inside. After I got home I used a rubber mallet and pounded the top. It opened up the small screw, released the spring, and the two peppercorns fell out! Thank to him I also became persistant and the mill works perfectly. Would definitely...
Read moreWent in to get a car key duplicate, brought my own key blank that’s now destroyed. Copy wasn’t even cut close to the original. I’m out $30. The cutting was refunded but not my $30 key blank. Staff was friendly but I should of been reinbursed for the key blank as well. Accountability is missing. (Original key on the right, new cut key on the left - not even remotely close) Side note I’ve shopped here before and they have excellent batteries and fast service, just don’t get...
