Food Lion — Attraction in Hampton

Manager that is in charge of all employees on registers is very nasty and rude...she has had multiple complains over the years but food lion will not fire her for whatever reason ! Because of how nasty she is I refuse to spend anymore money at that food lion because they allow her to not only treat customer with disrespect but her employees as well! I had a incident where I tried to pay a water bill with a prepaid debit card and she refunded the money back to my card because I dint have to put a pin in and she assumed it was a credit card even thought I begged and pleaded with her that it was not! Later on I was contacted by store manger who gave me 25 dollar gift card and apologized because she and his assistant store manager who backed her up was absolutely wrong! My water bill payment was late due to her nasty attitude! Please stop shopping places where customer are treated...

I'm glad you ask. I was in yesterday afternoon. There was a sale on Johnsonville Sausage Patties, 2pks. for $6. Well, what I thought was, is that this should be easy enough. I looked in the meat Dept. three times & they had some Johnsonville Sausage packages, but nothing in the advertised version that was on sale. I also looked in the frozen foods section & nothing. I asked the meat guy, who was by the way, was trying to go home as his shift was over. I ended up getting a package of Bob Evens sausage patties for more than I expecting to have to pay for. As a last minute item, I wanted another item, and wasn't in any of the area it always is. Another strike out on that too. So, I checked out with what I had and left the store disappointed. I'm getting real disappointed in this store; nothing I want is there, and I don't get the items I want. Not good, not...

This is absolutely the worst food lion in this area. Compared to other food lions that are clean, well managed, always have food stocked and have the option for self checkout. I never understood why do food lions have a billion check out lines but always only have 2 checkouts open... This food lion needs to be cleaned up and the management needs to make sure that happens as well as be staffed for the peak hours. Don't they know peak hours are after 5p, once people get off of work, so having 2 checkouts open is just ridiculous. Look into self checkouts. P.S.-- the younger cashiers don't greet you when you walk up to the register and one girl kept texting while she was ringing up my stuff, which I had quite a few items.
