VA Deli & Grill — Restaurant in Newport News

I tried VA deli & grill last night and meant to type up a review but forgot. I'm new to the area and while delivering with doordash/uber eats I discovered this spot. I had gotten the chicken over rice platter. It cost me $14 and some change after taxes. The platter was big. The food was flavorful. It also included a small salad and a small side of French fries which I cant say I've ever had on a chicken over rice platter at other places. Walking into the restaurant it gave me S&A deli/w&r deli vibes. I know for a fact those two other locations are related but with different names. This place almost had identical menus, store layout looks the same. Wouldnt be surprised if they're related as well. Overall it's a good spot. They do have a wide menu so you're bound to find what you'd crave. I will definitely be back. Only downside is they dont stay...

If you know what real authentic New York food is like then you will know these guys are really from New York and know how to cook! The food is delicious and they only use the best quality meat (I saw lots of boar head meats and cheese in the deli case) and cheese and whatever is on the menu! I just left there and the side salad smelled so fresh I thought I was in a garden! This is my second visit and will be my last. First visit, customer service was good -food mediocre. This visit customer service very poor and food was THE WORST!
