Where do I begin..well, let's start here. I'm a rewards member and thought hey, I've stayed at other red roof locations ..so this one is supposed to be an upgrade of sorts boy how wrong was I. Upon arrival, first, indication that this was not going to go well where the fact that there were several sketchy looking males outside smoking Marijuana near the doorstep.Upon entering the lobby, there was a putrid smell.There was no attendant behind the counter only an elderly man sitting in a chair wearing a tag with the word manager on it. He mumbled the word kiosk and then pointed to it. Then, a figure appeared on the screen asking what we needed. We explained that we needed to check in ..the figure on the screen proceeded to check us into 2 rooms that we had reserved but then was hit with we needed to pay an additional 50 dollars per each room as a deposit. That in itself was off-putting because we were not aware of the fee before arrival. At this point, we paid for it. As we proceeded to our room's 3 of us took the elevator, and my husband took the stairs due to his dislike of elevators. Both the elevators and the stairwells were filthy and reeked of foul odors. Upon arrival to our rooms, we immediately smelled musty odors. We sprayed lysol and bed bug spray. we noticed dirty walls, dirty bathtub dirty air conditioner panel, and unit half used toilet paper. The tv had no signal, and that was for both rooms. Dirty floors black marks on the sheets. Then, upon further inspection, we saw piss and on the comforter, the sheet set, so at this point contacted our daughter and granddaughter who occupied the 2nd room only to find out they were having a load of issues as well in their room. The bedding was the same as ours with stains so we said we'll let's go buy some sheets for the beds since we were told by the front desk that housekeeping wouldn't be in till the next day. Which was ridiculous! They actually expected us to lay on the filthy bedding. Of course, we didn't we left and made it to Walmart just before closing and purchased sheet sets for two beds, each room and bath towels and washcloths. When we returned from Wal-Mart, we headed to each room to put sheets on the bed only to discover that every layer of each bed had stains on it right down to the mattress itself. Then come the roach from the socket, and my husband had to use the bedbug spray to get rid of it.we walked in the bathroom and the tub had a print ingrained in it due to a dirty tub mat that was there for so long that it couldn't come completely up without leaving a dirty print. As we headed down to the kiosk to leave due to the unbearably filthy lodging, we were greeted by an infested bug filled stairwell that had a praying mantis that horrified my granddaughter which my husband hand to talk her through it. Upon arrival back at the kiosk, the elderly guy in the chair with the manager tag was no longer there, just the kiosk with a guy who appeared on the screen and said his name was smeet. We explained all the ridiculous problems there and he was not trying to assist us with a proper discharge and full refund he wanted to charge us for a full night although we weren't there ..nor never layed or Sat on anything due to the nastiness. He then was told we had pics, which he asked to be emailed to him, which we did, and my daughter also asked him to accompany her to view the room's but he refused so after much debate he said would give a full refund for both night since we didn't stay. So we wrapped it up and was told that depending on our bank, our full refund would be given. we thanked him and proceeded to our vehicle with nowhere to lodge that night after driving 8 hrs to get there for a retirement celebration the next evening. As where in the car we get contacted by sweet saying that he magically had workers to go to the room and due to the fact that we moved the dirty linen and attempted to put on one of the purchased sheets that he would not be giving a full refund. How dare you ask for a deposit for filth. Don't...

When I got there, the lady on the screen had a bad attitude she was not friendly at all. Got in the room one of the beds were not made up and food was still left in the refrigerator, giving me the impression that the room was not thoroughly cleaned I asked one of the housekeepers to clean it. She says she does not speak English. She called her manager and her manager asked me did I want another room at that point I did not trust the housekeeping for cleaning rooms the proper way I told the manager to just let them clean the room that they assigned to me and change the bedsheets because I didn’t think that they were changed after another person was in that room. The last night. I stayed there. It was a homeless man sitting on the other side of the room looked to be homeless he scared the crap out of me. I already did not get good sleep because I heard noises near my door( that was the reason ) I immediately went down to tell the person at the front. (Max) She informed me that she thought it was my guess because at 12 o’clock he was sitting in front of my door. I am a very classy and elegant person. I only stay at this room to visit my family and it’s convenient and to their homes. I would never be seen with a man that looked as such. I told her she needs to call the cops ASAP. I give them room of three. They need to pull the carpet up because it makes it stink really bad need to glaze the tubs the are very dirty looking, but new bedding (every time I come I have to buy a new comforter just to make sure that I am comfortable in their beds because the sheets are so messed up. Cigarette burns and has a lot of lint balls and they need to secure the place a little more homeless people should not be able to get into the hotel and relax on the floor or in the warmth without pay and scaring people that are paying their money to stay there every nightAlso, they should train the customer service agent to be a little bit more friendly because they have attitudes all of them when I spend my money. I should get great service at a hotel motel five star one star or two star I’m spending my money and I want to feel good about spending it and I feel like I have wasted my money!!!! The bathtub was very dirty and needs to get glazed in the shower curtains were filthy. The towels are very thin dirty. They need to replace them both!!!! Waited for my lyft for about an hour had to use the restroom! The housekeeper let me use her restroom and HER TUB WAS GLAZED and shower curtains were clean!!!!

THE HOTEL MAKES TOO MUCH MONEY NOT TO BE A NICE PLACE

I would give this hotel no stars if I could... weird experience from the start... my family and I came from up north to stay at what we felt was a great hotel but we were sadly mistaken... there were drunkards hanging outside all around the front entrance area (one of them even approached me trying to flirt and made me feel uncomfortable, glad family was around and coming in with me) it's was nighttime... there was not an employee at the front desk they only were on a virtual screen to check you in.. they never informed anyone beforehand that there is a $50 deposit to put down we finished the check-in process and when we got in the elevator there were wet stains on the floor that could have been pee when we all got up to our rooms there was a french fry outside of my room door this was a room that I shared with a family member as soon as she and I got inside of the road it looked older as well as some things we're looking suspicious as far as the bed bathroom and she even pointed out that one of the chairs needed to be wiped out because it had grease on it our family and I had noticed that the bids were staying so we had to go to Walmart to buy more sheets just to put on the same mattresses just so that we can have a good night sleep even though we still didn't feel comfortable because that's disgusting when we got back my family member want to use the restroom and when I looked up by the sink I seen Movement by one of the outlets and just thought that maybe I was tired but when I looked again I realized that it was a roach crawling out of the outlet and up the wall I had to have my parents come down from their room to kill it because I was definitely terrified why was there a roach crawling out of anything why was there a roach in the room at all? Items and went downstairs to talk to the kiosk person to get our money back and he was not helpful at all he was trying to only refund the money for the first night but not the second night and basically was not believing the fact that Not only was our room dirty but my parents room had dirty baseboards heavily stained mattresses with mysterious fluids a dirty bathroom bathtub faucet the whole works and tried to make it seem like we were the ones who did it when they do in fact that they had the dirtiest hotel in Virginia not to mention that they had noticed that the stairwells had dead spiders and roaches in it as well I would never say at this hotel again and if you are thinking about it please run and I...
