Five Below — Attraction in Hanover

If you've never been to Five Below before (or it's been quite a while since you were there), the first thing you should know is that not everything costs $5 or less. Yes, those hallowed aisles where any child with a fiver and change could run in and pick anything they wanted without worry have been turned into a cleaner, more open Dollar General. The disappointment knocked them down to 4 stars and the lack of selection for larger people is why their final rsting is 3 stars. They sell a little bit of pretty much everything but the clothes/ accessories are limited to those on the smaller side. Every now and then I can find an XL but they are few and far between. Since much of America skews to the larger side and some of us just want a novelty shirt that's baggy, a lot of us will go in, laugh at the shirts, go back to our cars and cry in self-pity. On top of that, most of the merchandise is closer to $5 than $1 so be aware of what you're putting in your cart because it adds up fast, especially the electronics which can be up to $25/each. Five Below can be a great store, just make sure you're paying attention when...

First let me say that I am knocking off 2 full stars due to the new location. The parking sucks now as the store is situated in the corner and has to contend with the state liqour store on one side and a strangely busy TJ Maxx two doors down, not to mention a pizza shop and Game Stop as well. It's not a safe area with the traffic coming around the corner from Giant. During the holidays, traffic and parking was AWFUL. It was so much better in its first location by Target. I'm sure corporate loves it though since they probably get more business and foot traffic now. A win for corporate, a loss for customers.

Otherwise, the store is nice. The new layout is both a positive and a negative. I feel like they have less toys now, unless they're just spread out more now. I actually like all the self checkout registers, and the employees are helpful and friendly except for the one time a group of teenage employees ignored us when we needed help, so...

So I should be giving it a 1 star but I don’t know exactly what and how good everything els is. Whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ELECTRONIC FROM HERE. Seriously, I bought a pair of ear buds for work and the left ear audio port was broken. So i then went after work since i was upset about it and yes the staff are nice and friendly and they gave me a new pair to exchange. So then later that evening i went to go charge them and so on and then when I went to go try them, one of the ear buds were only pairing and the other one wasn’t working. It was fully charged. I made sure it was turned on and paired but the right side was the only one that worked. Really upsetting bc I spent 8$ for some cheap buds just to get by work and not once but twice, they...
