Hampton Inn Hanover — Hotel in Hanover

We stayed in a one bedroom king bed suite. Both the room and hotel were clean and comfortable. We were very happy with the room and found it perfect for our needs. The hotel pool was also really enjoyable for the kids. The location of the hotel was fantastic. There were plenty of restaurants, a Walmart and a rite aid all within walking distance. The staff was very warm and welcoming. We used the Hilton App and LOVED it. During a pandemic I loved the option of skipping the front desk and going straight to your room. You could unlock your room with your phone limiting social interaction. Prior to booking I looked on Hilton's website to see the safety procedures in place. More specifically with housekeeping. Per the site: housekeeping services would not occur during the stay unless requested out of safety. I called the Hampton Inn prior to booking to confirm this, which they did. When we got to the room we again saw this posted on the mirror in the hotel bathroom. On the 2nd day of our stay we were unpleasantly surprised to see housekeeping had been in our room to make beds, clean and replace trash/towels. Normally, I would be really appreciative. Standard Hampton Inn with clean rooms, normal breakfast, etc. The staff was amazing. On arrival, we had a major issue with the room that required immediate action. The manager responded wonderfully to both our issue and its solution. They were very accommodating and we appreciated their response very much.||While the room was modern and well kept, there is an issue with the hall flooring being grungy, as was the floor in the elevator. These need serious attention and did not carry over into the rooms.||However, my one complaint with the hotel has to do with the parking lot. Being a disabled person, I appreciate the presence of handicapped parking spots near the front entrance. Surprisingly, this hotel has only two such spots. This is completely unacceptable to me. I can only surmise that local code only requires two, but common sense and consideration should dictate that the hotel does more. If you weren't at the hotel before 5 pm you did not have access to such facilities. If you left the hotel, for even a few minutes, your parking consideration would disappear. Hampton, you...

This is a really nice motel. Friendly, efficient front office staff. Had trouble with heating/cooling unit. Front desk clerk came to room and pointed to thermostat on wall. I thought it was on the unit. Ha ha, my fault, can't take me anywhere. I did not like the layout of the room, mainly with folding clothes and putting them in sliding drawers and hanging clothes on a open wall. Bed was firm and great. I much prefer a regular closet and regular bureau. But that's me. Hot tub was hot and pool was at a nice temperature. Breakfast was great with fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, and fresh oatmeal with many toppings. Mini pastries were very good.
