Stopped in here to look at some stuff, unfortunately I didn't. The store is not organized at all, windows are filthy, store is very unorganized, piles of dirt and trash laying around the store front, dust build-up, and felt very uneasy with how filthy the store was. I've wanted to start cleaning this store, that it was this terrible. The associates were very lucky that I didn't vomit with the filth of this gamestop location. Both associates looked and gave the energy off like they didn't want to work this Sunday, nor one associate ask if I've needed help with anything. I'm very grateful that this isn't my Local gamestop because if it was, I'll never return. I didn't even stop at any other store at this strip mall, due to the fact that this was the filthiest gamestop I've visited yet. This store had me think that other stores in the strip were as dirty as this gamestop was. If I could give a "zero star review," I would.
Please understand that, not only were the games not organized, but the steel book my husband bought, had sticky and gooey residue on it, I've told my daughter to put the items she had, to put then back on the shelves because we didn't know where this came from since a steel book that my husband bought was filthy as well. This location needs to work on their organization and the cleanliness. And not have it look like it's their bedroom. I do understand that when you are busy checking out customers, you cannot clean the site, but from the look at how dirty it was, didn't look like anyone...
Read moreI haven’t purchased a game from GameStop in a while because they don’t offer as many deals as they used to, but this infuriated me. As I was checking out my game the clerk/cashier rang up my item and proceeding in stating verbatim “1 year protection is included” … INCLUDED. Not, “added”, no question mark. A statement. It was so sneaky, because it doesn’t show the transactions on the checkout screen as you are checking out, so you can’t follow what’s being add. All you see as a customer is the total. Then I look at my receipt when I get home and tada. I’ve been charged for a protection plan that I didn’t not agree to. True this is only a dollar and that’s why I’m not going to waste the gas going up there. However, this is not how you should treat your customer base. Especially, with where the gaming market is. There are plenty of other places to go and give my money to. I have a black list of stores and places that I no longer visit, and this store and company is now on it. Just want to warn everyone to do the math before leaving or double check they didn’t add a protection plan without your permission! Safe...
Read moreNormally, I don’t post reviews that are negative but this one I think deserves to be written. Gamestop at Hanover is possibly one of the worst game stops that I have ever been to. The customer service is lacking. The knowledge they have of their regular customers’ likes and dislikes leaves much to be desired. And what’s the point of pre-ordering if you’re going to run out of the bonus items that you give for pre-ordering? I pre-ordered legend of Zelda tears of the Kingdom in February and they ran out of the little wooden plaques. They should not give them to people who preorder the game only a few days prior to the game coming out. Instead, what would solve a lot of the issues is if they hand out the wooden plaques when you pre-order them the day of. This is a common reoccurrence with this particular store. And when you tell them or bring up concerns with, and they act like they do not care. anyway the GameStop in Westminster Maryland is better.take the 35 minute detour and go...
