To me, it's more than just nails. It's about reclaiming a part of myself I thought I'd lost.
A few years ago, severe allergic reactions forced me to give up nail services. As a bald woman, I felt like everything that made me feel beautiful was being taken away. I tried alternatives, but nothing seemed to work for my weak nails.
Then I found Tahra at Artistry Salon Studio. She didn't just do my nails; she understood my concerns and explained every step. With her expertise, my nails have grown stronger and longer than ever before. But more importantly, she's given me back a piece of my confidence.
Tahra has filled a gap I didn't even realize was there. She's not just a nail technician; she's an educator and a confidence-booster. As a bald woman, having beautiful nails means more to me than most people might realize. It's a way for me to express my femininity and feel beautiful again.
I'm not just satisfied – I'm a forever customer. Thank you, Tahra, for allowing me to feel beautiful again and giving me the confidence to express myself. You've reminded me that beauty comes in many forms, and sometimes, it starts at your...
Read moreWas very excited to have found a black female owned nail salon as I’ve been consciously trying to circulate my funds solely within the black and brown community. Love the space, love the techs bc they seem to really focus on caring for the health and not just the aesthetic of your nails. My only issue that is stopping me from returning is their salon policies. I put a $35 required deposit down to secure my appointment. I missed my bus bc Marta is understaffed and it just never showed forcing me to wait for the next bus & therefore making me late. I contacted salon to inform them of my tardiness. I was totally ok with paying $10 late fee but They informed me that bc i may arrive past the 25 min that my appointment was scheduled they would have to cancel my appointment and charge me $50 cancellation fee. Basically I was charged $85 and received no services at all. I get it time is money, I just hate that humans don’t give grace anymore. Grace. Now I’m forced to go back to what has worked seamlessly and that is unfortunately not black owned but it is a space that allows room for humanity to human. To err is human. To...
