I visited this location on Sunday during the patriot's game. I actually joined my daughter, niece & one of my bestfriends. When I got there I sat for 15 minutes before their server came over. They had already warned me that he was not the greatest. They had already had bottomless mimosas, nachos, french toast & biscuits & gravy. I came straight from work & I was hungry. I love the taverns spicy beef nachos but the last couple of times I've been since they moved the service was HORRIBLE unless you're at the bar. Christian S was our server & he finally came over. Walking towards me he was playing in his hair. It was half pulled back in a ponytail. I was immediately turned off but hungry & my daughter was like just order & we'll pray over the food. I don't know if he was new & I don't want to insult but it was another bad experience. The highlight other than the nachos was the fried artichoke which were absolutely delicious. The service there is just not good & to top it off I grabbed the check which was $143.36. I gave Christian S $150.00 & waited for my change. I waited & waited & waited. While waiting we were getting him a $27 dollar tip because I didn't realize that there was a service charge included. This was my first time going on a Sunday & my friend & daughter really wanted the bottomless mimosas. I didn't make it for that. Either way I got his attention & he said...oh you want some change? I was, well I won't say what I was but needless to say that that will be my last visit. We are all in the service industry. He already had $23.10 tip so I expected my change & he almost got a $50 tip that he truly did not deserve. I'm so happy I checked the receipt because they were leaving the tip. We still left an extra $5 on the table because that is the amount plus the service charge that we were going to leave before I saw that it was already included on the check. We are servers & bartenders & you put out in the universe what you would like to receive. I'm Really gonna miss my nachos. I won't be coming back. I tried calling to speak with a manager before this post to let them know what was going on in their establishment but the phone said Verizon was busy. Everyone should get their change even if...
Read moreI have been coming here pretty consistently for the past couple of weeks. I was almost committed to making it my new cheers. I have had great experiences with Tina, Christina, and so on. Until Wednesday the 12th of June. We came inside to eat after sitting outside at the bar, not realizing you are able to smoke there. We were seated and place a drink order only for our attendee to forget what we order and come back to take it again. NO BIGS... however, this time she comes back with 3 of the 4 drinks. Again NO BIGS. I go to the bar because I recognize the man at the bar with Christian and I under the impression he is management, which he confirmed, asked if he could simply expedite the drink considering the situation. He agreed to without a problem. I thank him and return to my seat. A young lady that I am familiar with other than our waitress brought me the drink and before she could sit it down I could see a fly in the glass. NO BIGS. we addressed it and she said she would have another made. I watched as she return the glass to the bartender, noticed their exchange as she looked confused, he took my glass poured it into the shaker and began to shake it. She apparently not on board immediately walked away. I then addressed him about what I witnessed and he attempted to lie. I simply advised him i was good on their services and that he was dead wrong for what he attempted to do. I precede back to my seat where i was sitting with three others. Then I am asked whats wrong by an employ that i know. I explain and the bartender comes from behind the bar with SIX other men and surround me trying to intimidate me. However, there was one gentleman for the kitchen that seemed to want to rectify the matter, but by that point I was done with the establishment as a whole!
How do you become the bad guy for having your order forgotten, provided said order after with some EXTRA PROTIEN, and then attempted to be served the EXTRA PROTIEN again because you did not want the first serving?
To be honest... everyone's order at the table was wrong and we were still patronizing this place.
I WOULD NEVER TRUST THEM WITH MY FOOD OR...
Read moreThis was one of those bad dining stories I’ll tell for years. Let’s just say I left with clean teeth… 😬
I live and work in the area, so I’ve eaten here many times. We arrived at 5:30 pm for what we thought would be an early dinner. We sat for a good 15 minutes before we had to flag an employee down to make sure we weren’t sitting in a closed section or something.
When we finally got our water and silverware, I found a USED FLOSS PICK rolled up in my silverware 😳 Not like stuck to the outside; it was folded several layers into the wrap.
The waitress was, of course, horrified, and she quickly brought us all new silverware - left unanswered were important questions like who? When? WHY?!?!
Still, we and the couple we were with were willing to call it an outlier and press on with dinner.
After waiting an hour and a half, our food still hadn’t come out. We had our 1 y/o with us, so at this point we were pushing bedtime, and although we gave him some snacks he was hungry. I flagged the waitress down and told her if the food wasn’t coming out we’d just need to settle up and leave.
Our dinner companions’ food then came out; my wife’s came out a few minutes later after I asked again.
Incredibly, the waitress then returned to let me know they were out of something I ordered - so they obviously hadn’t even started it yet. I just asked for a refund for my meal since we couldn’t wait even longer, and at this point I didn’t believe my food would ever come out anyway.
I wouldn’t even have written a review if there had been any kind of effort to make up for all this. The waitress was very nice, and did a good job covering for the rest of the staff.
But if you roll a DIRTY FLOSS PICK into my silverware and I’m still willing to eat your food, there’s no world in which that should be at full price. And if that full-price food can’t be delivered in an hour and a half (with a not-packed restaurant), then it should be on you. I can’t imagine asking a customer to pay for this experience - and I won’t again....
