Warning! Unsanitary!

I hadn't visited this place for a while and was happy to find it was open after work. I started a juice fast today and wanted to load up on juices for tonight and tomorrow. Well, I was happy until I walked in and found a young man behind the counter OPENING BAGS OF FROZEN FRUIT WITH HIS TEETH. Gasp!

I politely explained to him that he should use scissors when he opens food that customers are buying since his saliva will be on the top of the bag and the fruit will pass over it. He wasn't hearing any of what I was saying. He gave me every excuse in the book except the right one (which is "I'm sorry ma'am. I've never done it before and it will never happen again:). I told him the health department would have a problem with him opening the bags with his teeth and he told me they have seen him do it in the past and didn't have a problem with it. He said he was the owner. I told him I had met her in the past and she was not him. He said she is his mom and that he could do whatever he wanted.

I exercised my right to leave, to take my money with me, to stay healthy, and to write this review.

Normally this place is staffed well and customer service is great but Today was the complete opposite. The young lady with the grey and purple hair was laid out in the chair in the corner, on the phone. She says hello and stayed in the chair. I'm.standing at the counter for a sec assuming maybe someone else would be coming from the back to take the orders. I eventually turn around to ask her who was taking orders and she gets up goes to the back for a sec. She comes back out and takes my order and begins making it . While preparing it, she begins to constantly pull her hair back out of her face, sniffling and wiping her nose with her hand. After doing all of that, she doesn't wash her hands. She digs in each fruit bucket with her hands and makes the smoothie . Completely unsanitary and I'm NOT trying to be sick. Just a total waste....At this point, I just wanted a refund but I didn't try to get it because after watching her deal with the register and running to the back, I couldn't even get an electronic receipt. We search for a black owned establishment. So this is my second time going. I love love the bowls. That’s why I went back the second time. Both times though customer service could have been much better. Both times I waited about 30 minutes for both bowls. The teenagers were in no hurry to serve you. I left with a headache from bleach used used to mop the floor as I almost slipped walking in. . The first time I went my friend paid so I didn’t pay attention to the cost. The second time I ordered 2 bowls from the menus and my tab was $28. I questioned the cost because the menus said $ 9.00 for the bowls and I was told it was an old menu and the price for each bowl was $14.😳 To top that off when I asked the lady for 2 spoons.
