★☆☆☆☆ Popularity ★☆☆☆☆ Size/Location ★★★★★ Terrain ★★☆☆☆ Scenery ★★★★☆ Accessibility ★★★☆☆ Amenities ★★★★☆ Condition ★★★☆☆ Safety Date visited: 10/03/2023 Arriving at Liberty Park on a hot autumn day, I was greeted by the intense rays of the sun. The vast expanse of this park lay mostly empty, save for my solitary presence and a lone parked car. While Liberty Park certainly had elements of a sports-centric park, with its soccer fields, it also offered a touch of tranquility with the inclusion of two shelters and scattered benches along the walking path. The walking path, which was paved, presented a clean and well-maintained surface, albeit without the comfort of shading to shield visitors from the sun's relentless beams. This path thoughtfully connected to nearby residential walkways, providing a seamless transition from the park to the adjacent neighborhood. Venturing deeper into the park, I noticed a few diligent gardeners diligently tending to the field, a testament to the park's upkeep and attention to detail. However, my visit took an unexpected turn as I encountered a rather unsettling scene. In one of the park's shelters, a Caucasian female was engaged in a loud and animated conversation with an unidentified individual who lay beneath a grey, unmarked blanket on a picnic table. The scene made me feel distinctly uncomfortable, prompting me to change my course and hasten my departure. Before leaving, I decided to visit the male restroom. Unfortunately, this part of my visit left much to be desired. The facilities appeared to be in a state of disarray, marred by stains and the unmistakable odor of urine. The restroom mirror, constructed from stainless steel, bore the scars of numerous dents, presumably the result of outbursts from impassioned American dads whose children's sports teams may not have fared as well as hoped. While my visit to Liberty Park had its ups and downs, overall, I must admit that it is indeed a nice park. Unfortunately, my experience was tarnished by the unusual and disconcerting events of that particular day. I would recommend visiting this park, but perhaps with the hope of encountering a more typical and pleasant experience on your own day of exploration.

We visited for the fall festival and it was really good! Also, for a few soccer practices, it's overall kind of an okay park, however, restrooms need a renovation.

Not a playground for kids in the summer! Big grass full of clover flowers which are perfect for bees? Check! Unshaded metal playground equipment that is hot enough to produce at least a 1st degree burn in contact? Check! We'll worn wood mulch with some sports of no coverage at all? Check! Wasps in the balance beam? Check!

The place may be great in the fall and the field may be perfect for non-summer events, but it's not a playground for kiddos in the heat of the summer. What's worse is the very nice YMCA plastic everything playground taunting you behind a closed fence and a sign that reads "YMCA members only". Just a...

This park has grass fields with soccer goals. There is a cement walking path, bike path. There appears to be a small pool with a slide, but I am not sure if that is public. There are several benches around the walking path, as well as a Pavillion with about 10 or more picnic tables. There is also a small playground with equipment for children like a slide and see saw. There is one small men's restriom house and one small women's but it is not clear if these were open for use. A water fountain there was not working...
