Powell Feed & Pet Supplies — Attraction in Harrison

Don't try to return the galvanized chicken waterer. When I bought the 8 gallon metal chicken waterer over a year ago, They told me not to worry if the seal stopped working and it leaked because I could return it and exchange it for a new one.

I'm not the kind of person to cause problems with businesses and complain. I feel uncomfortable asking a business to give me a free replacement. I even called a few days ahead of time and asked at the counter if I could return an exchange the item. They kindly said yes over the phone. So I took the item there, and pretty much everyone acted as though I was the first person to ask for an exchange.

One guy looked at me like I was crazy to ask for such a thing and he questioned whether I was keeping it level. I assured them it was leaking water, and left the store on a nice note. But their employees made me feel like I was asking for too much, made me feel uncomfortable for asking them to exchange it, like I was trying to get something free out of them.

Even though they reassured me I could return it when I bought it, and the person over the phone a few days ago reassured me that yes, They would be happy to exchange it. No one ever told me until I showed up that the return was based on a 6-month policy. Not good communication, and not very friendly vibes from the customer service people.

I've never had a real great customer service experience there. And this kind of sent it over the top. Their chicken feed is more expensive than the competitor down the street. So there's no point even...
