Me and my husband we went with expectations given the high reviews. Me and him both love Japanese food, and myself especially. The food wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't worth the rating people are giving it. The food is almost the same as the other sushi places in town, the differences being perhaps in some price ranges. Of all and everything we ordered it was cold, and let me say that cold ramen wasn't appreciated whenever you pay 12$ for it. From everything we ordered only the Chicken tempura was hot, and while it was delicious it was the only redeeming dish we tried.
The salad had this weird dressing, and the ramen bowl had this "old" taste to it. (I was later sick. Nauseous, and I could taste the broth coming back) My husband's bento box was cold (not lukewarm, cold) and the rice looked microwaved rather than fresh and steamy. The booth we were placed in was dirty, the table had "rings" from previous drinks, and the side window had dust and a film of grease. We won't be...
Read moreMy friend and I went to Zenbu this afternoon for lunch. It was our first time dining there. We were welcomed and treated like family by this lovely Asian lady named Metta from Indonesia who happened to be the owner.
First off the menu had an excellent selection of dishes.
My friend ordered the Bento Box with salmon and tempura tofu it came with fried rice, spring rolls, gyoza (dumplings), plus soup and salad. For dessert he had the red bean and vanilla ice cream. He said it was an imperial delight, the textures and flavors far exceeded all expectations… à pure delight.
I ordered two sushi rolls. The first was the Austin Power and the second was Autumn (see photo for ingredients). Both rolls were outstanding but my favorite was the Austin Power. If you enjoy jalapeños or jalapeño poppers this roll is for you. My friend and I will definitely come back and highly recommend that you try this restaurant… maybe we’ll...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s one of my absolute favorite spots for sushi and hibachi. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — whether you're in the mood for a sushi roll or a sizzling hibachi plate, everything is spot-on.
What really makes this restaurant stand out, though, is the people behind it. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely care about their customers. You can feel the love and pride they put into their food and their service, and it creates such a warm, personal experience every time you visit.
It’s a small, family-run business, and it absolutely deserves more recognition. Supporting them feels good not just because of the amazing food, but because you're supporting truly good people. Highly,...
