I talked my neighbor into going out to eat tonight. We decided on Mexican and we were both feeling adventurous so we tried this new place, we both had noted it seemed to be doing a brisk business, we both had noticed cars there a lot. 1) they have a liquor license, ((( YAH :) ))) so we were able to get Margaritas which is my main complaint with the place we usually go to. The drinks were fresh and very tasty, no slushy machine at this place decent liquor in them, not top shelf but not swill either. I had a strawberry margarita blended with salt and my neighbor had the traditional lime margarita blended with salt. We both loved our drink. The waiter was a tall dark haired young man with curly hair, what a great experience we had, a lot because of him. At his suggestion I had a burrito that was cooked with pineapple on the side and with (fresh Jalapeno mixed in, his suggestion) it was the most tasty food item i think Ive ever had in Harrison. Full Stop. My friend got a California burrito that was at least a foot long and as big around as a 12" loaded Subway sandwich. the melted cheese covered it and was 1/2" deep around it. Now He is a big eater when he eats, when that item hit the table I said to him "No way your going to be able to finish that". he tried, about 1/3 of it came home, in a to go box. we also ordered a big bowl of caso melted white chese dip, it wasnt spicy but it was very tasty. The chips are thicker and very crunchy, chunchier than I'm used too, but they too were different but good. It was just another element that kind of added to the authentically Mexican meal experience. I saw the next thing im going to order, as it passed by my table. Molcajete i'm sure i spelled that wrong, she said it was called when I asked, but I'm definitely going back soon and I'm going to order THAT! We left full happy and content, also we left a 50% tip because it's the right thing to do when the service was out of this world good...and the bill was only $40?? yeah with 2 drinks. Try this place i hope your lucky enough to get the same waiter we did, and I hope you have an equally exceptional dining experience. 5 Stars is the rating from...
Read moreWorst experience ever we went there for the first time and never ever been there before and we go in and got greeted and we wanted a booth for my moms back and the lady told us to go to the back,me and my mom looked at each other and said what? What do u mean the back the lady said the booth in the back we had no idea what the hell she was talking about and she didn't even escort us so we walked down this long hallway looking into doors and found our booth seat then waited 10 minutes for a server to come and she got us chips and salsa and cheese and our drinks then she said will be right back so another 10 minutes later then she came back and my mom ordered enchiladas beef with cheese sauce but she got a chicken and the lady didn't listen to our order properly and I got a Pollo Loco olmeca with no mushrooms and cheese sauce on top and it was served with beans rice and lettuce and guacamole and sour cream and Pico de Gallo, the cheese was burnt into the skillet and rice was over cooked and I told her I want cheese sauce and it didn't look appetizing so she said yes and my mom still waiting on her order still! How long do we have to wait for cheese sauce and my moms correct order?!?!?! So while I was waiting for my stuff the lady goes to the next table and greets the people and cutting up with them and all I'm like what? And then my food got cold and me and my mom was fed up with waiting on the waitress for "checking on our food" when we got up from the table I guess I bumped the table and my drink fell off table by accident and spilled all on the floor but I told her I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK! that explains why alot of people who walked out pissed off on a mother's day event! I get that yall are busy but yall need more people attending to the customers not a few for 20 minutes apart that's bullcrap so my deaf community knows and will not be going either so until further notice when yall get better service I will be sending more people to check in and see if it improves if not then Sorry , this is ridiculously a joke of...
Read moreI was so looking forward to trying this place. Worst experience eating out we have ever had. It was Mothers day and the place is small so I understand them being busy. I asked for a booth as I have back issues and regular chairs are so uncomfortable. All the booths up front were being used. So the hostess says go to the back. "The Back?" I asked where in the back, I have never been here, she didnt walk us back to "the back" and seat us and give us menus, nothing. We walked down the hallway and found the bar and tables. Waited 10+ minutes for someone to show up. The waitress was very nice. However I got the wrong food, and my sons food was supposed to have a white cheese sauce and it was burnt to the skillet so the meal was dry, the chicken was dry. The waitress went to get my ordered redone, and we waited and waited, and when she came back just to say its coming, my son asked for the white cheese sauce that was supposed to be on his meal since they burnt all the sauce to brown, she said yes and then greeted new customers and was taking their drink order. I felt his food and by this time, it was ice cold, and I still had not gotten mine. 45 minutes there and still havent eaten anything but chips and salsa. We decided enough was enough. My son was really upset because it was Mothers Day and a disaster. We told the waitress to cancel my order and that my son was not eating what he was served we were leaving. So we went up to the front, I was willing to pay for our drinks since she did refill them while we waited for food. But we were told no worries and the waitress apologized. I feel a little bad for the waitress as the cooks and hostess are killing her tips. However she shouldnt have brought my sons food to him like that knowing it was supposed to have a white cheese sauce not brown crunchy burnt sauce on it. Again it was a disaster and we...
