The good......Was driving in from out of town to visit family friday of Easter weekend and the transmission started going on our car. In an emergency they were able to get the car in to be looked at when other dealers in the area said it would take days to get it I to be looked at. That was a good part of the experience although it needed a new transmission . After looking around we decided to purchase a new used vehicle instead of fixing the old one. Test drove a few different models and overall a normal car buying experience. Decided to purchase a new vehicle as we were in an emergency situation and time crunch. Now the UGLY.... as we didn't plan on buying a car and were out of state we didn't have the title with us and would have to overnight it when we got back. Not an unusual occurrence and also needed to get the car registered in NY which we were told was no problem as they do it all the time. When I got back home I emailed Stephanny Perez ( our sales agent) to get the odometer reading off our old car as I needed to write it on the vehicle title affirming it was correct under legal penalty. I was told I didn't need to put it on there. As they would. I let here know it says i need to put it on there. She i formed me they have power of attorney and I didn't need to write it in. I told her I needed the odometer reading before I can send the title. Hours went buy.. no answer, so i called the service department since they did a diagnostic on the car and should have that information. I was told my car was ready to be picked up.... ??????....... I told them I bought a new car and that I'm just trying to get the odometer reading off the trade-in. They didn't provide it to me as they said they didn't have it. Eventually, I was sent an odometer reading from Stephanny Perez that i believe was just made up as it was lower than the milage I had on the car at my last service appointment in NY. I called and tried contacting a manager to get this number, but my phone call was directed to another dealership... after multiple calls, I finally got in touch with a manager at the right location who was fairly nasty and said if you would look, it's on your paperwork.... I checked 3 times, and it's not on the paperwork I received. Maybe another spot they didn't do what they were supposed to. He eventually gave me a different odometer number that was also impossible to be true since it was also below the odometer reading of my last service. Late that afternoon after all day trying to get an odometer number, which should have been handled by an email. I got a phone call from Stephanny Perez that was about as nasty as a person could be with an odometer reading that made sense and was actually physically possible. They phone call was to the point of us yelling at each other to f-off. I don't know what they were trying to pull something or just don't give one crap about you once they have their money in hand, but either way, it's terrible. Fast forward approximately 25 days into the 30-day temp plate they provided, we still have not received the registration for our vehicle. Wife called the dealer and was told they were waiting for it. 40 days into a 30 30-day temp plate and now the plate has expired we still didn't have the registration. Wife called again and was told they would look into it. Attitude was very dismissive both times she called like we were an inconvience to them trying to get them to do their jobs and follow up. About 45 days in and 15 days expired we got fed-ex'ed the registration which we had to take time off of work to go sign for. Not sure if not sending the registration was in retaliation for requesting the odometer number or they didn't follow up to check things were done properly. Either way, you not important once they have your money and be fighting with them to complete their work. I would and will recommend staying away from this dealer and be happy I don't live down there where I would have to deal...
Read moreBe Ware!!! So I took my car here to get fixed only to have it come to me with completely new NEVER before issues. They replaced my transmission and I assume had to change the piece where you stick the key in and put an oversized one that falls off which is the least of the problems. The steering wheel now jumps when turning which is scary and most likely DANGEROUS. I asked hubby to go back because I'm an extremely emotional person and he's much calmer. They claim nothing was wrong even though I had 3 people drive the car to check and EVERYONE but them felt the jumping of the steering wheel. They then to my husband's face LIED and claimed that the steering wheel was not even touched when when I got into my car the plastic that goes over the steering wheel was still slightly popped open when I found odd and just popped it closed, sadly it re pops open now. See these people assume folks don't know about cars so they LIE and assume you just believe them. They even HAD THE NERVE to say my car wasn't drivable and how we brought it to them on a tow truck which was a BIG lie because both hubby and I drove there. He drove my car and I drove his car to drop it off. Now imagine to cover their own ass they had the nerve to lie like this I'm so mad I just started shaking right now thinking about it. Funny they then think to call me to buy a car from them. NEVER would I do business with people whom obviously assume I'm such an ass that they can lie like this to my husband's face. I would NOT trust to buy any of their cars. I even got a multi point inspection and nothing was wrong with my steering wheel and when I took it back they said I would have to get a multipoint inspection and that most likely it's wear and tear. I'm glad I found out the liars they are because I almost to it back and paid 2k for an oil leak which while they trained mechanics said they don't know where it's coming from so they would have to take the whole engine apart, my stepfather a regular Joe from the old days said it's almost ALWAYS the head gasket and when he took a look it sure enough was and showed me. Head gasket parts are like $80 and a mechanic charges perhaps $130+ an hour which will be way less than 2k. I waited a few days to write this because I was so mad and I didn't want to go based off my emotions. I provided photos so no one can say this is a...
Read moreRequest for Full Refund of Warranty Charges and Complaint Regarding Sales Pressure
Dear Nissan Route 17 Sales Team,
Although you replaced the cracked steering wheel plastic cover free of charge, I am deeply disappointed that you have not responded to my previous email, nor have you refunded the $3,661.94 in warranties that were sold to me under pressure. I visited your dealership twice, taking time off from work, to explain that I was forced to purchase two warranties -- one for $2,500 and another for $1,161.94 -- totaling $3,661.94. I clearly stated that these warranties were sold to me without my full understanding and under pressure, and that forcing a customer to purchase a warranty as a condition of sale is illegal. Furthermore, I informed your staff that I hold an L1-B visa and my legal authorization to live and work in the United States will expire on June 19, 2026. I will be returning to my home country. I explained that I see no logic in being pressured to sign for a 3-year or 7-year warranty when I will no longer be in the United States to use it. Your staff's response -- "You signed 15 pages, you shouldn't have signed" -- was extremely upsetting. I do not speak English fluently, and my friend Erdem Nergiz translated the entire process for me. He is a direct witness to the fact that I was pressured during the sale and did not fully understand the implications of what I was signing. I earn $2,600 per month under my visa and cannot legally work more than one job. I pay my taxes yearly in installments. The amount of $3,661.94 is a huge burden for me. It is completely unreasonable to assume I would willingly purchase such warranties. This situation is contrary to the normal course of life and financial logic. Additionally, you charged me $231 in fees for paying $7,000 via my credit card. The remaining $3,300 was paid using my friend's debit card. The total process and the way I was treated made me feel discriminated against due to my limited English skills. I am kindly requesting a full refund of the warranty charges. Please do not take advantage of my language barrier. The remark your staff made -- "You signed 15 pages" -- clearly reflects your sales ethics, and I am deeply disturbed by it. Please refund my money in full. I expect an honest and fair...
