Skatium — Attraction in Haverford Township

I went to the skatium for my boy's hockey game, and had to hang for about an hour before the game. At the time, a public skate session was going on....everything was fine aside from the choice of music was abominable. Another woman walk by us an stated, "Is this music brutal or what". It was so bad, garbage songs not family friendly, just horrible little pre-teen, to teen tunes. It was awful. I'D NEVER GO TO A PUBLIC SKATE SESSION WITH MY FAMILY AND BE SUBJECTED TO AN HOUR AND A HALF OF THIS ATROCIOUS GARBAGE. INDESCRIBABLY THE WORST MUSIC TO HAVE TO SIT THROUGH. It's sad I would expect better from the rink. Just play a mix, a blend of old and new, there are all age ranges attending a session, and really people are not there to hear the music, they are there to enjoy each other's company. Home Ice for Crossroads Figure Skating Club and Teams Ice Unity Synchronized Skating. Love this club at the Skatium. We feel like family. Crossroads has been home club and ice since my kids were toddlers in Learn to Skate. My daughter has been on 4 teams there and it always ends with a competition trip to Hershey Giant Center with planned team bonding. So much fun, she skates all summer in addition to the regular season with the club that offers ice dance and power skating, as well as an August summer camp we do every year. She loves the office learn to spin classes. They have a harness attached to the Skatium ceiling to help them learn. I can buy ice tickets as I go online from the club or purchase a coupon book. Great local rink / institution…leaving this review primarily for Frank's Skate Sharpening / Frank's Perfect Edges. In this rink you will find a very kind, master skate sharpener. People like Frank in my opinion are some of the last of that "old-school generation", a master of their craft who seems to do it for the love of the game and the honest pride of helping others.
