I was visiting HdG for a few days and stopped by the convenient Visitor Center first. What a pleasant surprise. A volunteer on duty that morning (26 Jan)was extremely helpful and helped us plan our trail hike along the Susquehanna River. The hike was great and did the Lafayette Trail the next day (a self guided tour through the HdG historic district). We greatly enjoyed the detailed history of the homes and buildings on the tour. We were also offered dining options at the VC but we already had that covered. The VC is a great resource and saved us a lot of time trying to figure out what to do. Go here first.
