So I have been here before and it’s been good if you sit down and dine. I got take out last night and I was extremely disappointed to the point where I wish I would have called and just brought everything back, and got a refund of $68 for a total of 4 items. I got the antipasto dish and as you can see in the photo it was possibly the WORST and most overly priced food item I have ever paid for. This thing was almost $15 and this is what I get?! Like come on you’re supposed to be an Italian restaurant. Then my son got the mussels which included about 5 closed mussels he couldn’t eat. The chicken crochets were more vegetable than chicken, and the Greek salad was basically a normal iceberg with a few very small pieces of feta cheese. It was terrible. But the fact that I’m pregnant and was starving I ate the stuff because I wasn’t driving 20 minutes back. Needless to say I won’t be returning there and I suggest if you want to eat here you either dine in or make sure your ready to over pay for mediocre food. I really thought it would be better because I know it’s authentic and you would think for the prices the food would be better.

A group of 5 mom friends with a total of 14 kids (ages 7 to 16) were vacationing together and wanted to go out for dinner. We called around to see who could accommodate all 19 of us and this was the only restaurant that could. We figured beggars can't be choosers and were expecting decent food but nothing out of the ordinary. Well, we hit the jackpot! All the food was amazing, so flavorful with generous portion sizes. Several of the people in our party were gluten free and this restaurant offers GF pizza and pasta. I'm used to having very limited GF selections but they have a whole GF menu. (The GF penne crostacie was exquisite!) The service was also amazing. They set us up in the back room and despite the size of our party, they got all the drink and food orders out with minimal confusion. Our server was actually Italian and had our kids saying "grazie" by the end of the meal. Since we have an annual tradition of camping in the area every summer, we will definitely be going back.

My wife & I stopped at Havre de Grace to take a break between Philadelphia & Washington, DC. We chose to eat at La Cucina because it looked like a Mom & Pop/local place & the menu looked good. When we sat down I heard a couple sitting in the back booth speaking Italian and Italian soccer was playing on a tv. (The sound volume was low enough that it did not disturb us.). My wife asked our server what she recommended and we ordered that - seafood-filled croquettes with a pesto-cream sauce, a spare rib & gnocchi with a thin-ish red sauce, & shrimp over pasta with asparagus. The sauces were delicious. The shrimp was some of the best I have ever eaten. We finished by taking 2 slices of cake home with us: Cannelloni cake and a dark chocolate cake. The cannelloni cake was a beautiful surprise. The cannelloni filling was served as the cake's icing. The dark chocolate cake was delightful.

Just wanted to give a pre warning about this restaurant. If you plan to go eat with friends at this restaurant they will kick you out after 2 hours. On Sunday evening, April 2nd I met two of my friends for dinner at this establishment. This is a restaurant I eat at often. After 2 hours of eating and visiting the waiter came up to our table and stated “ I don’t mean to be rude, but I need my table. I have people waiting for this table.” We looked and only saw 1 couple waiting. There was a booth available for them and they immediately start this couple at the booth. We thought it was extremely rude that the waiter had asked us to leave his establishment. I understand if there was a line of people out the door. Of course we would have left out of courtesy. But there was not. As we were walking out the door there was nobody waiting for any tables. The next day I called the manager to voice my concerns about this issue. I asked to speak to the manager and or the owner and he said he was the owner. I explained what happened at the establishment the day before and how we felt this was very rude. He did not care. He stated that “ he has a right to take back his table after two hours, because he has a business to run.” I explained to him that I lived in Europe for five years, and if they are trying to represent themselves as an “authentic Italian restaurant” In Italy they do not kick you out of your table, they let you eat for however long you want to eat, and visit with friends. He then said “thanks for your concern,” and hung up the phone on me. You don’t hang up on your customers. In this economy where small businesses are not surviving. You would think that customer service would be your number one priority. I have worked in the food industry myself and the customer was always right no matter what. We treated our customers with the utmost respect. I am very disappointed at the way this restaurant treated me, its customer. This evening this restaurant lost 3 families that will never...

Service was terrible, it took over 15 minutes for the server to bring us water, I started thinking that he had to dig the well. I ordered "shef special" it said salmon with spinach and tomatoes. I asked him what else does it come with, he said just spinach and tomatoes, didn't want any pasta, so I said yes to this dish, price was not listed on the menu. I said I was GF and no dairy. Next the cook came out and said it comes with a crabcake on the top and it's not GF, so I asked not to top my salmon with it. Another 35 minutes passes and he brings out my dinner. It's salmon on top of handful of cooked spinach with some crushed tomatoes and pasta. I didn't want to eat pasta, so I sent the dish back. I asked for a salad instead, and said I will keep the fish. He brought out a tiny plate of salad with an old plate that had fish, spinach and pasta was gone. After I was almost done with my "salad" and fish server brought out another plate of salad, normal size this time, to which I said toast it was too late. He took it back. When I asked for a check I saw that he charged me full price of $30 for the dish I didn't eat. I feel like it was his fault that he didn't tell me what was in the dish when I asked him a question, and besides if i knew that dish was $30 i would have never ordered it. I asked him to talk to the manager, after he came back he said there is nothing he can do and I have to sit there till I pay. I felt insulted, and unjust. I should not be paying for this mistakes. I even told him that I will pay $12 for the fish, that was the price on the menu for the side of fish with a salad. I put down $30, my friend's meal was $16 and we left. Never coming back again. Bad service, and...

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. A bunch of us friends were visiting the area and were looking for someplace to eat for dinner. We were a big group so I had to call multiple places and I ended up calling this Italian restaurant. The gentleman who answered the call was very nice, I told him that we had 16 in our group and he told me he'd have a table for us at 7:30pm. We reached the restaurant around 7:25pm, we were then shown to our tables. 3 different tables adjacent to a wall. So I went back to the front of the restaurant and asked if we could just put the tables close to each other so that we could all sit together. One gentleman quickly said yeah we can join the tables. I was filled with gratitude and 2 servers came up to move the tables for us. Right behind them came another lady, pretty much yelling at me and telling us that the tables can't be joined and that 16 people can't be seated together since we only called 45 minutes ago. She was very rude and I was quite taken aback, since I had made clear that it was 16 of us and they had promised us a table at 7:30pm and not "tables". However, we sat to eat, we ordered our food and the food was horrible. The plates were plated with boiled pasta, flavorless meat and watery sauces. The check however was filled with credit card fees and every table (4 people each) had a mandatory 20% tip automatically added (since we were a big party). Oh and my husband is still waiting on the wine he ordered. The food was horrible, the people were rude and all this made our dinner experience...
