HILO ACE HARDWARE — Attraction in Hawaii

They are renovating right now, so you have to enter through the back door. You can park in the back, but the driveway is only wide enough for one car. As people were trying to drive in, others were driving out, causing the other drivers to have to reverse out to let the others go. I also went online to check for an item in their store before driving there. The item I needed was listed as being in stock for that store, but when I got there, they don't even carry it. I asked someone for help, but she just said they don't carry it, and told me where to look, for the same brand name, but not that item. She walked away very quickly. She didn't offer to help find something comparable, no one offered help, although an associate came to the same aisle I was in twice. I'm used to getting better service from this Ace. Went on Father's days. 2 of the 3 people working the 2 guys not the nice young woman worst customer service I have ever experienced at an ace hardware.Couldnt/wouldn't answer my questions on prices of items without a price listed ? isn't that the most basic part of his job. then when I was leaving with my son and wife the other worker closed the gate leaving me no exit point from the parking lot. So I opened the gate to drive off the lot, get in my suv and the guy has ran and closed the gate again. just cursed at him to open the gate or else I get back out and make u! he did just enough. got to say goodbye Ace...

I went in yesterday after checking out Home Depot for some things I needed to replace on my catchment….had a terrible experience at HD…. So I was feeling pretty defeated, I’m pretty inexperienced with what I’m working on and the help I received was amazing. I got all the parts I needed, the proper size vinyl hose. I don’t remember the name of the guy who helped me but he was extremely nice and patient and I will definitely be going to Ace for anything I need in the future now...
