As a medical professional I have high expectations when it comes to spas. This review is way overdue. I have to admit that I hesitated at first not knowing what to expect, but this place has exceeded my standards. First of all, the place was super clean. It was obvious right from the beginning that the staff really prioritizes cleanliness of the facility. This is really important for me, especially during these uncertain times that we all are living in.

Making the appointment was super easyI booked my facial online. I came at the scheduled time, they are located on the second floor of that new business plaza on E Kawili Street. My esthetician, Grace greeted me at the door, and invited me in. She made me feel welcome right from the start. The treatment room was very well equipped. I could tell that they have the high end equipment,

My facial started with double cleansing, and my esthetician was very thorough. Then we moved to the Hydrafacial MD part of the treatment and I could feel how the machine is sucking the gunk straight out of my face. We also did dermaplaning and I couldn't believe how different my face felt after she was done. We finished off with LED light therapy.

After the treatment my esthetician recommended a couple products for my routine, and I ended up buying a cleanser and the masque by Skinceuticals, I just love that brand. I will...

A facial like no other! Received my very first HydraFacial with the lovely Grace, who instantly made me feel comfortable & at ease from start to finish throughout the treatment. The treatment began with a relaxing face wash, complete with a mini massage & a warm lemongrass towel wrap. Grace throughly explained each step of the facial & how it benefits your skin. I am utterly impressed with the end results! Having sensitive skin, I’ve received a facial or two in the past that left my face red & splotchy. That definitely wasn’t the case here! I left the treatment room feeling glowy & refreshed, & much to my delight & surprise, sans redness & irritation! Hours later, my skin still feels the smoothest it’s ever been. At the end of the treatment, you get to see the tube of impurities that the machine extracted from your skin — disturbing yet oh so satisfying. A facial that leaves my skin feeling unbelievably smooth, renewed, & performed by a knowledgeable professional has earned my approval. I highly recommend this newly opened Hilo extension of Honolulu Spa & Wellness....

Lila gave me perhaps the best facial treatment I have ever received! She was very congenial and explained all the processes as I was going through them. Her gentle neck and shoulder massage were very soothing. I really liked also having an “August special” as that made the experience a very good deal as well. I’ll be glad when I get back from vacation and everyone says how great I look and they’ll think it just was the sun and the sand, lol!

My treatment included a lactic peel and hydra. Men who have never had facials beforehand should know that these are gender neutral treatments and that facials are very good practices to keep healthy looking. Kind of like going to the dentist! But a little more relaxing 😎! Go for it guys!
