It is a bit of a long story. We ordered over $25,000 in products including a bunkhouse, Gazebo, and several pieces of furniture. Everything here looks great and has that Northwoods feel which is why we shopped here.
The sales process was horrible. We outlined what we wanted on our buildings and it seems the sale person had his own ideas and followed none of our requests. Including tar paper (weather shield) on the roof under the tin so when the screws start to leak there is a little more barrier there for water. It didn't get done. The studs in the Bunkhouse walls are all at some random spacing making it harder to insulate, spacing ranged from 13" to 17" on center. That makes it hard to do anything. The outer sheathing wasn't tight against the building as well. On this building they also sold us a sliding glass door - which the sales person said they put in all the time. When we got the building the door was so small we couldn't even get the furniture we ordered though the door which ended up having under a 24" opening. You'd think he would know better. Turns out they have never installed one of those doors and they had no interested in fixing it, due to their funky building standard they would have needed to pull the entire end wall off to fix it. Over all the building is nice but I wouldn't say there was anything special about the quality, in fact just the opposite. If you are looking for real quality you should look around a bit at least on the buildings. The look of the building is nice - eye candy. But the attention to detail is lacking.
The Gazebo. Where to start there. The door wouldn't close properly and there was a good 1/2 gap around most of it. They came out to fix it but then we couldn't open the door at all it was way to tight. They did come out and get hat fixed up after a few visits. So that was nice. I'm sure they were sick of coming out. I know I would have been.
Now the windows in the Gazebo are junk. They don't close well and the screens all have large gaps in them around the frame. They did come out and replace the screens once but to no avail. Still large gaps for the bugs to get in. The windows either don't close or you need to force them too close to the point you are afraid you'll break them. These windows are totally cheap and they don't seem interested in fixing them either - they just hoped I would go away. They did try to come and look at them but the issue is clearly that the windows just need to be replaced and that was more customer service than they where willing to provide. I suspect they'd just have to replace the Gazebo since the thing was built around the windows. So all I think think about now every time I have to deal with the windows is what I'm I going to do when they break...
The Furniture was nice, so far that is good. But we did have to send several pieces back because things were warped. They did take care of those little issues fine. I can say the cushions on the chairs and benches seem to be getting pretty "squished down" already for only a couple years of summer time use.
We like the look and feel but the quality isn't very good, especially for the money spent. We purchased another small building form another builder after al this and the building was a much higher quality at a much lower cost.
I would shop the store again but would never buy or recommend their buildings. They are cute - but poorly thought out designs when you get down to it. the walls are not even build to standard specks on stud spacing which Makes things very heard to do with the buildings like the bunkhouse later. No tar paper to help increase the longevity etc. Built fast and cheap. (cute for sure)
On the Bunkhouse we did come to an agreement so that is settled.
The delivery of the buildings was well done. It went smoothly. I really think the main issue is whoever is running the shop making...
Read moreI've purchased their product previously. Bought another chair this year at the State Fair. This chair looks a little rough around the edges and it took over a month and a half to get it. It took 3 phone calls to finally get a delivery. I like the product but too long of a wait, too hard to work with. It's already too late in the season to get any use out of it now.
I appreciate your response but it sounded like because you were fortunate enough to have record sales, your customers (or maybe just me) were asked to wait longer and with no communication or courtesy call of the delay. I appreciate the offer to fix the chair but I have tools to take the rough edges off and fix the odd cuts. Just being honest, it took nearly 2 months to get the chair. I'm not giving it back now. I...
Read moreNo, you don't have to! Clair marten who runs the biz here and one of the best person I have ever seen! I am a semi truck driver, delivered a load to this place today. I picked a load from pa, and my truck was stuck in wet soft ground due to very limited backing space at shipper there. I had to have towing service helped with 825.00 charged. Clair happened to know when I was at shipper. After unloading in hayward pa, I received a unexpected money from him. It is so shocked to me, he dosen't have to do any thing for me. He brought me a thing more than money, but respect. I will do the same thing to others as he dose to me. He and his City I will never forget. Thanks again for warming...
