The Meeker Vineyard Tasting Room — Attraction in Healdsburg

Went to this establishment during wine tasting weekend on 3-3-19 at 1:44pm. Upon entry with our group we were delighted to see the owners cute dogs running around and the fact that the winery is in a cool old bank! However my visit quickly turned sour when I kindly asked the young gentleman at the front table for a sample. He made a slightly frowning face at me as if he was saying "really?",didn't serve me or my girlfriend, and ignored us the entire visit. Although he was very quick to serve and converse with the many other female members of our group and give them numerous samples throughout my groups visit. I was really disappointed because I was told the party wine was to die for but sadly I was never able to taste it because the young gentleman at the front seemed unwilling to serve any people in our group who weren't female. I understand the young man may have been overwhelmed by the slightly large number of people there too; but the fact that neither me or my girlfriend were acknowledge or tended to once the entire (hour long) visit was unacceptable and I was saddened by the experience because this establishment has glowing reviews and the owners seemed very genuine and nice from what I could see with their interactions with our group at the registers.

Hope the owners see this and talk to the young gentleman manning the front desk and tell him to treat all customers equally and...

Hesitate to share our gem. Julia Berman, is extremely knowledgable, and we've never had anything less than an exceptional bottle in four years of tribe membership. Need to expand our horizons to Lucas J.'s wines, so clearly another tasting trip in order. Julia also gave us great advice on local dinner options.
