Central Church has something for everyone! Paster Jud Wilhite is AMAZING and talks TO YOU NOT AT YOU, he shares to the point you think, Wow, that happens to me! He shares the stories of the Bible and talks to you so you understand what is being said. I can’t say enough about how realistic he makes the stories and walks you through it as if you are there! Before he comes out, there is the MOST WONDERFUL, AMAZING, TALENTED & CARING PEOPLE in the Central Worship Music Group that opens your heart & heals your pain and lovingly prays for anyone needing it right then & there with the simple raise of your hand - no confessing what you need prayer for just a caring moment of help reaching out to you rt then & there and then you can sing your heart out to the most powerful songs that cover what is really important in these times. It is FUN & REFRESHING & they have AMAZING CHILDCARE according to ages and the kids have fun while learning the basics and having a snack and WOW, Central has special times where they gather needed backpacks & supplies for kids to start school,Christmas is a time and experience that is magical and again helping 30,000+ kids have food & gifts for the holidays, families can get food, help and prayers when they need it throughout the year and the online church experiences make you feel as you are rt there in the building with them and there are times when it is like Pastor Jud is talking rt to you! Sending you HOPE! He is down to earth and there’s multiple church locations & times and even though the church is big, YOU DO NOT WALK IN & WALK OUT FEELING AS THOUGH NO ONE EVEN KNEW YOU WERE THERE it is such a wonderful feeling to know you can help and GET HELP 24/7 via phone, text, etc and feel as if you are talking to a good friend who understands how hard it gets at times and you leave the conversation with renewed strength and hope and confidence in yourself and the church members who become friends and that’s what GOD wants us to do! Be there for each other in times of need or just a call to know you are not alone. CENTRAL CHURCH is an important part of our community and truly wants you to feel included. It is the most AMAZING CHURCH I have ever been to and I now have children & my Grandchildren interested in learning about God and how real HE is in our lives! As for me, I am disabled and haven’t been able to get to the Henderson location near me, but I am able to attend via the online community & something near & dear to my heart is the fact they have the possibility for the God behind bars available and I have seen it firsthand how God can change lives and met us rt where we are! I have seen the transformation of my childs’ friend, spend her time behind bars to learn about how GOD LOVES HER & doesn’t judge her & as I watch women go from struggling & getting in trouble to realizing they are NOT ALONE & that is is OK NOT TO BE OK… that Jesus will stand beside them & guide them tto a more positive and loving future and once they were released… I watched this beautiful, kind, girl blossom as God changed her path and guided her to become an amazing Wife, Mom, Beloved friend and follower of Jesus and she is thankful for the time she spent learning about God and how HE was there all along! She knows she is never alone & has taught my whole family a lesson in LOVE, FORGIVENESS (for others AND for ourselves!) and a SUCCESS STORY coming from the most unlikely of places proving that GOD WILL MEET YOU RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE and with a Church like Central Church and Pastors like, Paster Jud and Laurie Wilhite and all the others … there truly IS HOPE & A BETTER FUTURE WE CAN BELIEVE IN AND BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER & BETTER THAN WHAT WE SEE BEFIRE US DURING THE HARD, DARK TIMES… CENTRAL CHURCH AND PASTOR JUD SAVED MY LIFE; even tho’ he may not know it… it was his FAITH & HOPE I held on to & I am here today thanks to his caring words! (Updated comment) NO STAR RATING because I don't want to come off judgmental but attended this Sunday and yeah, "kill them before they kill you".. If I saw that anywhere else I wouldn't think it was a Christian catch phrase and had a hard time when I initially saw it. Then, worship was great until the young kid with the black hat and very mediocre voice came out and sang a song that was absolutely NOT Christian. It had nothing to do with Jesus or the Church, the lines started to say something and didn't conclude. It sounded like a girl (whoever "she" is in the song) wanted him to act or appear a certain way? it was confusing at the least if not heavily coded? I dunno but nevertheless it surprised me. If I were a different person I could see how this one song would turn me off from attending here again. What was the purpose of that song? People were clapping when it ended... why? Because it sounded good? What are we attending church for a concert? I still remember the tune it's in my head. Woohoo, Woohoo...... What was the purpose of that song in the lineup? It really threw off my praise to be honest. Lots of added visual distractions from the last time I was there. Then the speaker today quoted maybe a few passages in the Bible which seemed odd to me. There were very few references and again I'm not nit-picking but this all thew me off. Far too many screen shots of his wife and son texting about McDonald's horrible food while he "preached" at an earlier time, showing how neither have respect for what is supposed to be God's word. Wasted time going through those text messages; way to go dude now your fam missed that message and you drug that disrespectful time into another service with your families' shenanigans. Hope this isn't the case next week y'all. None of us are perfect but as a large church with many attendees I feel they can make a better effort at keeping church as real and for God as possible and get rid of the fluff. K nuff said. Blessings y'all UPDATE: Last week: IT WAS A COLDPLAY SONG! This week the same kid who sang last week must have read my review because he made it a point to sing songs for God, literally in the lyrics that his words be for worship, good for you brother!! He sounded much better in the higher range as well :) Unfortunately I didn't feel the same for the rest of service. Their pastor Judd felt church wasn't important enough to do 2 services so he recorded the first and played it back for 2nd service. Are you that busy that you can't represent God? Maybe he wanted McDonald's. They had a black girl come on stage and sing Adele's "Hello"... Really??? Didn't change 1 word of the song, how horrible is this?? Then you have morons standing up in the crowd lifting their arms as if worshipping to God??? You fools, wake up!!!! This is not a church of God but a " feel good " church. People posting saying ignore negative comments are also FOOLS and are deceiving others because they "like their pastor, he's relatable"... Yeah, he does speak well, but they're is no filter at this church, and the likable pastor evidently doesn't want to be there. I've noticed they always have a touchy feely story right before the offering. They bring up every week they give not because they have to, but because they want to; are you serious?? Where is the humility? Obviously you have the funds to do something, a backpack drive plus donations, seems they aren't spending their money either. Not judging but I can't go back to this feel good church. YOU PEOPLE NEED TO CHECK YOURSELF, AND YOUR PASTOR. " Kill them before they kill you".. Sounds very nationalistic (the abbreviation is Nazi for the uneducated), very Viking and NOT from a place of love. Jesus never told anybody to kill anyone or anything, remember that. You can't "kill" sin anyway... Evil begets evil. You can only choose your path. Evil still exists, it will still tempt you tomorrow. You killed nothing. No comments from the church on my comment because you know I'm right. What can you say? You'd better pray...

I feel I have to rewrite this review after attending more. I also want to state that I have no negative feelings towards the church. I’m going to start with the positives here. Pastor Jud is phenomenal. He is funny, kept my attention and really knows how to deliver the message. He even has some books out that I plan on getting in the future. The child care is very nice as well. I always felt my children had fun and were well taken care of and safe. That being said, there are just too many things I don’t feel comfortable with to continue attending and it really makes me sad. I loved this church at first. They do a lot of great things for the community. The more we went, I just noticed a majority of the congregation is…confusing. Now, I want to be very clear here. I am in my 30’s, I am open-minded and accepting. However, I feel very uncomfortable with women in sports bra tops, VERY exposed upper and lower regions and young teen girls in almost nothing and even a man I saw with daisy duke leopard print shorts. It’s weird. This is still a church. I understand it’s hot, okay? I just find it extremely inappropriate. Not everyone that attends church is there for the right reasons and the Pastor can’t really help that. Another reason why especially teenagers, should wear clothes. I don’t want my little children seeing things like this and it really has changed my mind about going here. We got coffee one time and noticed that people were still waiting in line for coffee and came into service when there was 3 minutes left! It was bizarre. I understand you can’t control people, but this being a church…all of this seems very odd to me. I can’t be the only one. I’m not saying dress in a tuxedo! I just think it’s so strange that people are dressed like it is some sort of club. I’m serious, I have seen BRA TOPS and things I don’t want to mention. It breaks my heart but I don’t feel this church is right for us. It seems to be a big hangout for a majority and you will definitely get lost in the mix. When we first started attending, some of the staff would send us texts asking how we were doing and stuff. But they ended abruptly. Some of them answered, some didn’t and some sounded like automated responses. The people in the morning greeting are always super nice and I’m sure there are excellent members of this church but in our time here we, unfortunately, did not meet them. The Pastor one time was talking about reviews and how everyone has an opinion and it gets stressful, and it really does. I love the Pastor here. He truly is excellent and I cried during many services but I can’t continue to attend here with the bad feelings I keep getting. I hope it gets better here. I have been around many things in my lifetime, very rough people and very bad environments, I am far from perfect. But in making my way back to God, I need to be in the right place and it saddens me that this is not it. Another thing is a majority (not all) of the people are so mean and rude. They don’t care if they run into you while stampeding out of the service. I have little children and have been shoulder checked and ran into and most of them just scowl at me or act like I’m not even there. The older people that attend here though, are very kind. At least that is what I have experienced. Right now is a trying time for my family and I would at least expect the same kind of common courtesy that we give. I wish people would think first before acting this way. I am a very quiet person and this has all really been too much for me. The last few times I’ve went I’ve felt so unwelcome and hurt.
