Yes, Outstanding, in all departments. I have never been to a hotel or any other holiday accommodation and received such a high level of customer services, from start to finish. The entire staff at the Residence Inn, deserve every accolade they get, for providing it's customer with such care and attention. It's not in your face and over the top, it's just the right balance of professionalism and friendliness, to ensure your stay is seamless and stress free. It would be grossly unfair to name any specific person/'s, as they all provided the same high level of service.
The Hotel is currently going through a renovation project, which will see the entire property upgraded. We stayed in one of the renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suites and I have to say, for the price, it's quite unreal that you get such a great product/design, quality and attention to detail for the price you pay. Although the Residence Inn is directly in the flightpath of Las Vegas airport, once you hear one plane, you never hear the others and the rooms are quite well insulated for sound too.
Even although it was cold when we were there, we used the heated pool and hot tub quite a few times. The pool quickly filled with leaves etc, after a few gusty nights wind, but was equally, quickly cleaned.
I did use the laundry room a couple of times and the dryer dries clothes in about 10 minutes, they are awesome. The laundry room was always very clean.
The free daily breakfast and 3 nights managers reception, are truly amazing for the fact that they are free. Yes they are free, as the rate you pay for the room is so competitive, it would be hard not to actually see it as free. So for free, you would expect boring and bland, NO. The breakfast is varied and plentiful, with variations of the hot food on a daily basis, so there was always something new to try. The breakfast staff play there part in making breakfast enjoyable, as they replenish food promptly, keep the place clean and tidy and if that wasn't enough, greet guests with a warm smile and a truly sincere 'Hello, how are you this morning'. The managers reception, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, is a great treat at the end of the day and provides customers with free drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks) and a varied selection of food on all three nights. Once again, the staff are there to say hi and help you de-stress from the daily humdrum of...
Read moreWe were a group of six (two rooms) for a recent five night stay from Wednesday to Monday. It would be difficult to be at all critical of this Marriott Inn. This hotel sets the bar for excellent service, friendly and professional staff, efficient service and great food. The shuttle from the airport to the Hotel and then daily to the Strip was so much appreciated and saved loads of money. While we did have a few minor delays, they were tolerable. One day the Hotel even paid for an Uber because they couldn't deliver in a timely fashion. We made extensive use of the service daily at Noon and 10:15 pm.
The breakfast was one of the best we have had at any of hotels of this type. Selection was extensive - even cheese, lots of fresh fruit, great coffee. The eggs, meats etc were always plentiful and there was never fear that the food would run out even if you arrived at 9 for breakfast. I was amazed at the number of behind the scenes staff. They kept the eating area tidy and were always asking if they could assist. There was never a time (even on Saturday or Sunday) that you had to fight for a seat or table.Alicia was extra friendly and you could tell she loved her job.
The internet service was fantastic, there was a lobby computer and each day two different newspapers were always available. Lots of special event and promotional brochures were also available. There was a laundry room for washing and drying clothes at a reasonable $1.50. Although there was a warning about possible noise from flying aircraft, we were not at all bothered by this.
We only experienced one Mixer which was on the night we arrived late. It was ready to close but John (the Host) made sure we had beer and wine with a few snacks before he closed up. John was even our driver a few times and couldn't have been any more helpful and friendly.
I wish I had taken more notes and names to pass along compliments; I wish it had been a bit warmer and sunny so we could have enjoyed the pool facilities and because a Vegas trip is so busy, i just wish we could have had one more day to spend at the Hotel to just relax.
Thanks all for a memorable 1st Vegas Holiday from the Davids and the Langleys - can't say we'll be back soon, however I would not hesitate to recommend this...
Read moreI’ve stayed at this RI a few times; it’s a solid choice for a Vegas stay, especially if you’re staying a few days or more. It’s close to the airport and the major highways - and a good location just SE of Vegas proper. My most recent stay was for a week and included NY’s weekend. ||I’d just made Ambassador with Bonvoy, and I was hoping that that would be acknowledged and score me an upgraded suite. Well, the night front-desk receptionist who checked me in did note that my status was in the system - and that was the end of that. I jokingly asked whether my assigned room was the Ambassador Suite, and she said, “Well, not quite, but it’s a suite.” As are all room at Residence Inns, I said to myself. ||My “suite”, 335, was just a regular studio, and I called the FD to ask if a 1- or 2-bedroom was available. She said she’d check, and said a 1 BR was available. When I went back down to exchange keys, she offered me my choice of five suites on the 3rd floor; I chose 341, which I liked in part because it was close to the stairs at the front of the building. ||Otherwise, my stay and the suite were a mixed bag. Cost per night was $138, pretty good for the timing. ||Pluses:||- clean, comfortable suite with full kitchen and two TVs (in the 1 and 2 BRs)|- good breakfast; with scrambled eggs and one other protein. On my penultimate day, there were tasty, seemingly homemade chorizo burritos. |- quiet rooms and hallways, even during a big holiday week and weekend|- good location|- ample parking|- friendly, fast, hardworking breakfast staff||Minuses:||- older furniture, some of it worn|- the (now-standard) one tiny bar of soap (but housekeeping or FD will provide more upon request)|- very old TVs: 1st-generation, late-00s flatscreen, small (32”) screen|- elusive housekeeping: I only had my room cleaned and refreshed twice during my weeklong stay, including after scheduling one day and then still being skipped. Granted, I did sleep in late most days, and FD staff provided plenty of towels and extra coffee packs. ||Conclusion: Not bad and not great. I’d stay again if rates are low, but the RI Las Vegas South (less than 1 mile from the Rental Car Center) is much...
