last Friday (3/28), I decided to order from Mama Pam because I had a credit from the FIRST time I got food incorrectly from them, which was its own issue. I ordered a basil fried rice and asked that it not have bell pepper in it and confirmed that when I went to pick it up to which the person at the counter said “we don’t know what’s in every single dish…” Which is really odd considering that’s kind of your job? I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and took it home, only to sadly discover that there were bell peppers in it and I wasn’t able to eat my dinner. So when I decided to call back and try again with a new order of the same dish, but with no bell pepper (allergy), they kept bouncing me around on the phone from person to person saying that they were finding a manager, this took upwards of 10 minutes and when I finally spoke to someone and asked if I could have a comped fried rice and order something else in addition to it, they said that they had no record of my complaint from ONE week ago. She asked me questions that felt like she was just giving me the run-around and by that point I was starving and just wanted to eat so I decided to forget it—like they did—and the only thing they said was “are you sure?” What was I supposed to do? Keep fighting over a fried rice? So I hit up my normal spot for Thai food and will not be going back to this place ever again. Your worker should be trained to know what is in every dish for the sake of food allergies and you should definitely have record/log of when there was a complaint that needed to be resolved so this is my complaint and I’m...
Read moreUnhappy with server taking it upon himself to tell me what spice level I eat my food.
My wife and I frequent Mama Pam Restaurant weekly (either dine in or take out). Today we dined in. Upon entering I spoke Thai to the server/cashier named Sammy (on the receipt). He asked how I spoke Thai and I advised that all of my friends in LV are from Thailand, and I'm practically adopted Thai.
When I ordered Pad Key Mao at spice level #7, he kept telling me it would be too hot. My wife explained we eat there weeky, and that I know what spice level I prefer. Sammy then suggested #6 spice level as a compromise, as his cook is directly from Thailand. I advised I was aware of the cook's origin, told Sammy no to #6 spice level compromise, and reiterated that I wanted #7.
When the food arrived, I advised my wife that the food was not #7, and after waiting a few minutes decided to eat (Sammy had disappeared to the back of the restaurant). Once I paid the bill and tipped, I was then given the receipt after asking for it from Sammy. With tip, we paid $90.12.
It was once we arrived home that I saw that Sammy disregarded my instructions and placed the order with the Cook at #6 spice level ( see attached photo). Very disappointed that he did not follow instructions.
Your response to me 6 months ago via Yelp was more honest and heartfelt than this response from yesterday.

Read moreTried to order food from doordash from this restaurant twice. The first time my dasher was told someone else picked up my order. Totally fine, not the restaurants fault, potentially. I was really not upset about this as this happens all the time. I cancelled my order, and placed another duplicate order. Second time they REFUSED to make my order, after accepting it?? My second dasher put me on the phone with the restaurant and they basically were accusing me of lying about not receiving my order, as if it's my fault someone stole my food. Please do better, this is ridiculous...
Edit (In response to the response below): No, this isn't about DoorDash. When I failed to get my food, because someone clearly stole it, my second driver put me on the phone with someone who works there at the restaurant, presumably a manager. This person proceeded to scream at me over the phone that I'm lying and that I was trying to steal food. Which makes no sense because I paid twice. (got my money back both times because you're absolutely not getting it ever). You work in customer service, you should NEVER yell or scream at people and accuse them of lying. If you work with doordash or ANY food delivery service you KNOW drivers will steal food or the restaurant gives your order to the wrong person. Basically be a better person and don't scream at people or accuse them of stealing when...
