This review has been delayed given we were never sent a survey from Marriott to comment on the experience (in all likelihood the hotel deleted our email from the folio to prevent it from happening).||||We got into town a day earlier than expected for our wedding and selected this hotel for the additional night. As a hotel manager myself, I am very familiar with locking procedures on not only guest rooms, but the perimeter doors as well. There were no working security cameras at any point of entry nor a safe in our room. Nothing was secure about our stay.||||Our room was robbed shortly after we had gone out for the evening, and our wedding rings were among the things stolen. Upon discussing this with the general manager in the morning, we were given a business card and a "sorry", with no attempts to follow up. The lack of empathy and ownership of the issue was shocking. Given the severity of the situation, even the slightest bit of support would've been appreciated so much. We were shuffled off without any resolution on the manager's part and our request to simply get a lift via the hotel shuttle to our next hotel was denied, simply because it wasn't their policy to do so. Again, from my perspective as a hotel manager, this falls short of any type of service recovery by its lack of flexibility and care for the guest. The dismissiveness was incredibly offensive on an already difficult stay.||||I don't know if the GM from October is still there but I would highly advise the franchisee review his performance. Miraculously we actually managed to recover the rings through some resourcefulness and the man arrested for breaking into our room was charged and released a couple days ago, after serving 8 months. At this time we are considering further legal action against the hotel.||||For the average guest we don't expect you to have the same experience. All the same, without the safety implements or the competency of a staff that has security in mind, I can't with good conscience ever recommend this hotel to anyone. And it appears, based on more recent reviews, that safety remains a concern even after the renovation.||||Please...

With that said, we went out for the evening and secured the guestroom door behind us. Our room was robbed while we were away and our wedding rings were among the things stolen. Read moreI was in town for a work meeting. It was very hard finding a room at a rate that was allowed because of a major conference going on at the same time. This hotel finally had an opening and worked with me for the rate. The hotel is about 5-7 minutes from the airport and airport parking. There are several restaurants close by down around the mall area in Henderson, and you are a short ride over to the Strip if that is something you are interested in doing. The roads weren't that busy either. It's about a 25 minute drive down to Boulder City and the Hoover Dam. The hotel staff was very nice every time i spoke with them and always seemed interested in wanting to help. The room was updated and very clean. The shower and bathroom was a good large size. The shower had great water pressure and hot water. The fridge and microwave worked great. The TV worked great with lots of channels. The bed was comfortable. The room was a little noisy without a fan or ac unit fan on. I could here neighbors around me. The AC unit cut on and off and buzzed and rattled a lot. That was annoying the first night. I brought it up to the front desk the next morning. They said maintenance would check it out. I was tired enough i didn't take chances and got something to cancel out the noise. When it was off i still hear the ac unit buzzing so i'm not sure that actually got worked on; however, it wasn't a big issue with my noise canceling fan i bought. I'm sure the staff would have moved me had I asked because they were very friendly any time i was in lobby area or bistro area buying things or hanging out. This is a great hotel and in a great location. I would definitely recommend it. You just might want to check the ac unit for noise, and if noises bother you when trying sleep, you might was to get something to cancel noise or get another room. The hotel is also kind of in the airport landing zone so you can hear planes coming over the top sometimes. Great room, great hotel. The only reason i won't say excellent was because some of the noise that I had to...
