El Trompo Taco Shop — Restaurant in Hendersonville

Cold-both the food and the service. Ordered online for a pickup at 5:45pm as I wanted to pick it up on my way home from work for my family. I work an hour away from Hendersonville. When I left work, I got a text that the food would be ready at 5:25pm. I called the restaurant and told them there is no way I can be there at 5:25, and I don't want the food to sit there and get cold. The girl who answered the phone just gave me attitude and told me it was only a 15 minute difference and I should come early. I responded that I specifically put an pick up time of 5:45 because I know how long it takes to drive and there was NO way I could get there at 5:25. She could have cared less. She also informs me that an item I ordered they did not have and she would have to call Phoodis to remove the charge. And just as I thought, I got there to get the food, and drove home (mind you, I only live 2.3 miles away-takes about 7 minutes), the food was stone cold. And I have to say it had NO flavor whatsoever. I even asked my family if they tasted anything and they did not either. And I see on my charge card she DID NOT remove the charge for the items they did not have. And side note---no one was wearing a mask on their face. For those that had mask, a mask resting on your chin and neck does nothing. I wanted to support local as I always do, but I will NEVER go back there. Such poor quality...

I surely was expecting much more from an authentic taco shop...It seems like most things in Hendersonville are not much for high prices. I got 7 crispy tacos with avocado as extra side and paid $19+ and was hoping for some fried corn tortillas as in most authentic Mexican cuisine, but just the regular sized crispy taco shells as you get at taco bell or grocery stores. I believe I could've saved a few bucks and got the same thing at taco bell. The only thing that was remotely different was the different meat choices that had decent flavor. All the other stuff on the menu were overpriced. Just thought I'd give an honest review that might help someone save a few bucks and go to Taco Bell for the same thing....

Wanted to try this place because china wok was closed . I ordered a basic entree from the menu, grilled chicken breast with fillers (rice/beans etc.) . My total was 22$ and some change , and what I received is less than a half of a box of food . I even made it a point to ask the man at the register what makes this so expensive , as I was not expecting to pay over 20$ and I was told word for word that it is ‘Alot of food’ …….This is maybe 10$ worth of food when considering the restaurants in the immediate vicinity of this place, and when considering the quality of this food.
