PLEASE, PLEASE STOP BRINGING YOUR AGGRESSIVE “UNHAPPY” DOGS TO THE DOG PARKS! This dog park is decently clean, it’s newer so that might change over time. We normally don’t bring our dog to dog parks because of bad behavior from other dogs in the past. Many owners put their dogs that don’t like other dogs in these situations. They think they are helping get them “socialized” but for many dogs that needs to happen at a young age and some dogs just don’t like other dogs, that’s okay. What’s not okay is bringing your dog to a park if you’ve experienced their discomfort and dislike for other dogs. Today I was in the area and thought hell, why not try it again. I knew better but I thought I’d give the benefit of the doubt. I’d love to have my dog play with other dogs, she does good but we’ve trained heavily her since she was 6 weeks old. I’m not here to say since I’ve trained and spent the time educating myself with my dog, everyone else is trash lol. But I do believe you get a dog, you prepare for what you’re taking care of the same as a damn baby. They are animals, they can’t speak our language and they have instincts, that’s just reality. My dog is a 30 pound Nova Scotia duck Toller and she’s tends to be submissive depending on the dog. A lot of dogs take advantage of that and fight. It’s unfortunate because most of our experiences have been with huskies lol. Again, at the end of the day it’s the owner, not the dog. Not understanding or reading body language is risky. PLEASE STOP BRINGING YOUR AGGRESSIVE DOG, TO DOG PARKS! You are making it unsafe for other dogs, your dog and risking a bad accident leading to a big ER bill. It’s okay to go to an empty park with a ball or go in a walk lol! You got a dog, you made your choice to take care of it, so stop using other people’s dogs to do your job. It’s okay to have a dog with some issues, a lot do but please do your job to avoid bad situations because of them. With much...
Read moreI recently visited K9 memorial dog park and it was an absolute delight! The park is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing plenty of room for dogs to run and play. The fenced-in areas are secure, ensuring that even the most adventurous pups are safe. There are separate sections for small and large dogs, which is fantastic for catering to all sizes and temperaments.
The park also features shaded areas, benches for owners, and water stations to keep the dogs hydrated. The social atmosphere is wonderful, with friendly dog owners and well-behaved pets. It's clear that the community takes pride in this park, and it shows in every aspect.
Overall, It is a haven for dogs and their owners. My dog had an amazing time, and we will definitely be returning regularly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic place to let their dog run free...
Read moreI went by the dog park Sunday 8/20/23. My dog went #2 and I grabbed a bag, however, most bags were out near where he went, which is probably why there were at least 5-6 piles of other dog's bathroom breaks. That was annoying, but the least of my worries.
Upon leaving the park, I noticed my Newfypoo limping. Upon further inspection, all 4 of her paws were slit open and she was bleeding. I think this is due to the rocks and gravel in the park. She's a pretty "foo foo" dog, and isn't that rough and tumble as others. My lab also had some cuts, but as he runs a lot and is a little bit more athletic, I figured he went to hard. She didn't do much in my opinion to cause such harm to herself. I will NEVER take my dogs back there,...
