Review after a first hour-long visit. I will have to update after more visits, but here are first impressions: the playground is epic. It has a large playset for ages 5 and up that's pretty standard, and then a small one for really little kids on the side. There's a giant jungle gym/rope thing that looks awesome. There are two regular swings and one big swing that a bunch of people can sit in at once. There's one really interesting jungle gym that actually rotates. And then they have the longest Zipline/swing I have ever seen (one of those round swings that you straddle while holding the rope and it's fixed to a long rail. You push your kid a really far way and it can go very fast). It's epic.
The playground itself has little shade in the nearby seating, and the nearest pavilion was far enough away that I didn't feel safe sitting there in the shade while my toddler played on the playground. So that's not great. But the pavilion is quite close and if you have older kids you would probably be okay to hang out in the pavilion while they play.
The pavilion itself did look anything special, and there are no attached bathrooms. There are some bathrooms a short distance from the park.

Being in the middle of the city definitely adds to the feel, and the night lighting is very stripped back and pretty in some spots. Keep in mind though, being in the middle of the city also means you get to be next to a bunch of shady apartment blocks. Can’t win em...
