Wow… what a letdown. I'm writing this anonymously—any firefighter reading this knows how fast names travel. When we first heard a "firefighter bar" was opening up, we were genuinely excited. Unfortunately, the reality was a huge disappointment. From the moment we walked in, we were confused. Aside from a Maltese cross logo, there’s nothing firefighter-themed about this place. It felt more like a trendy Pinterest-inspired brunch spot than a bar meant to honor firefighters.
The decor was random and out of touch with the theme. It honestly gave off the vibe of a "just two guys with a dream" TikTok business. If this is a firefighter bar, it missed the mark completely.
The food? Also mid. I ordered the blackened shrimp pasta—three pieces of shrimp. Three. For what they’re charging, it felt like a joke. Our server asked us what we thought, and we were polite but honest. To our surprise, even they seemed a little shocked at how things turned out.
But then came the icing on the cake. The owner, Adrian, got wind of our feedback and absolutely blew up. Instead of taking it as constructive criticism, she apparently got defensive and tried to call us out—asking where we worked, questioning if we were even "real" firefighters, and brushing off our thoughts entirely. Not exactly the kind of attitude you’d expect from someone trying to honor the fire service.
Funny enough, we've heard that the chef who created the menu, Chico, already walked out. Barely two months in. That kinda says it all.
Long story short: if you're looking for a firefighter bar, this isn't it by ANY means. We’ll settle and be at The Break around the corner instead—better vibe, better service, and a place that actually knows how to do it...
Read moreI had a great time here—the kind of night that makes you want to come back again. The bar itself is beautiful. The lighting is calm, the colors are relaxing, and the whole layout feels thoughtfully designed. It’s modern without trying too hard, and the seating is really comfortable. You can actually sit, relax, and enjoy your time without feeling rushed or crowded.
The drink selection is seriously impressive—so many options, and everything is well-organized and easy to navigate. Whether you’re into something classic or want to try something new, you’ll definitely find something you like.
The wings were a hit—crispy, flavorful, and definitely something I’d come back for.
What really made the night, though, was the people. Bret, the owner, is such a sweet and compassionate guy. You can tell he genuinely cares about the space and the people in it. Nada, our server, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and Aspyn was so nice and down to earth—it felt like we’d known her for years. Everyone just made the whole experience even better.
The atmosphere is also something special. It’s a very open and inclusive space, definitely LGBTQ+ friendly, and the crowd was diverse and welcoming. I went on a bingo night, and it was the perfect mix of low-key fun and good laughs without being over-the-top or chaotic.
If you’re looking for a chill place with good food, great drinks, and an environment where everyone feels welcome—you’ll want to check this place out. Seriously can’t...
Read moreOk. The truth. I've never felt so welcome in any business here in Daybreak / Heriman. It is a new bar and they are working out their kinks, but trust when I say there were very little if any. The owner Adrian immediately came to our table and thanked us for being there, and it was PACKED. As it should be. The atmosphere was open and lively. It was also quite beautiful in there. Multiple servers came by and asked how we were doing, one Bryson, I think was his name, in particular was super friendly. Our server was very kind and very good, quiet voice but again just getting used to the atmosphere. I'm also deaf in one ear so there's that. Don't listen what you read about the BLT, cuz it was not sweet, it was amazing. My husband got the jambalaya PASTA And it was exactly that and he loved it. The drinks were delicious. Most of all I loved Adrian coming back and talking to us and assuring us that she is making this a place where everybody in this area is welcomed. I'm excited to see what this place brings to the area. And I'm definitely excited to see the Herriman and Daybreak ladies brunching hard. Next time we go we're going to go a little bit later after the rush to just chill and enjoy the atmosphere and have drinks. Support local businesses and support women who bring a vision to life. Super impressed. Thank you Adrian and staff! Also, support your...
