The Boardroom is an interesting place to get your hair cut, especially if you're someone like me who is very particular about the service they receive and how their hair is cut. Iv'e been to several high end men's hair salons and I have particular wants that most customers don't. First, I really like the idea of having a beer while I get my haircut, it's a nice idea. I chose a foreign name brand beer, because like most Boardroom customers, I am a sucker for cheesy advertising and I have the perception that price is equal to quality. Another great thing is that the bathrooms here don't need fans, because at "The Boardroom", nothing that comes out of you could ever stink. The girl who cut my hair was very pleasant, and attended to my every eccentric whim. I mean why wouldn't she, i'm a very important person. While sitting in my chair I like to relax and sometimes will expel my own personal cologne which I like to take a big inhale of while receiving my haircut. The stylist's tip is heavily influenced by her reaction to this and also how much she enjoys my cologne (she didn't seem to enjoy it, but pretended it was great, I always appreciate a good sport). I then asked if they had towels, they told me they only had standard hot towels. This is disappointing to an important guy like myself. I really enjoy towels that are soaked with the tears of the poor. But they don't have towels that are soaked with the tears of the poor, they only have standard towels. I also received the shampoo, which I didn't like as much because the woman working on me insisted on giving me a standard shampoo, even though I insisted on her rubbing my head and singing a nursery rhyme softly into my ear while I doze off, oh well I guess you can't have everything you want. For the most part, I was very happy with the service I received. They also have the membership options, such as "The Chairman" membership, but this is as exclusive as it gets. I asked if they had "The Trump" membership. They had never heard of it. This is when you have your own private room, then 10 people are ushered in to tell you how great your toupee looks, they aren't allowed to touch you, and then an Eastern European woman comes in to tell you how handsome and smart you are. But they still said that they never heard of it. All in all I was happy with "The Boardroom", but I wish they would offer more services for a particular customer like myself, but I liked my experience nonetheless. After everything was finished, I under-tipped the stylist (tips only encourage people to accept a handout, I believe in freedom) and walked out feeling fresh. I looked great as I jumped into my super expensive foreign convertible, and looked into the mirror to marvel at what a beautiful and exquisite creature I am. The cut was great, you could barely see the bald spot that I am totally not insecure about, I then drove off enjoying my definitely not overpriced haircut....

To start, my experience was not good at all but they quickly made up for it and now have a returning customer. A friend and I had an appointment originally for 12:45 made the day before. 45 min before the appointment we got a call saying that they were having some lighting work done and would have to push us back to 2:15. After that, another phone call to let us know it would actually be 3:15. I was frustrated because this was 2 and a half hour after I had planned to have it done and was notified minutes before. It just so happened that it worked in my schedule so we accepted and went for the later time. To be honest, we went in with a negative mind set due to the treatment so far but was quickly turned around when we got there. The receptionist had a bright smile and asked if we had an appointment and when we confirmed, she immediately started referring to us by our first names. We were quickly offered a beverage and escorted to the lounge area while we waited for our stylists to be ready. The interior is full of dark brown and black tones and big leather chairs. TV's, chess table, billiard table, and reading in the lounge area while you wait. My stylist, named Heather and I highly recommend her, came out to greet me and shook my hand before taking me to her chair. While she got her items together she apologized about the appointment shift and how there was an electrical problem that happened to them this morning and thus was why they had to shift the appointment. She then asked what I liked for my hair followed by a question or two to make sure she understood. I did the benchmark package which included a haircut followed by a mini spa treatment of sorts. It was shampoo and conditioner, paraffin wax on the hands, face and neck massage, hand and arm massage, and steamed towel on face. When we were done she offered some product (as everyone does) but was giving specific reasons from our conversation about my hair when I first arrived. The staff was very welcoming and nice, the hair cut was exactly how I wanted it to be, the head massage was amazing, and they sent us off with handwritten cards welcoming us the establishment with a coupon for next time.
