Some one needs to stop these shady/borderline fraudulent businesses practices.
Through my bank ( capital one) I saw a vehicle I was interested in. I send my info and set up an appointment to see the car.( 2016 RX 350 73k milles for $23,895 advertised price) The car is fine. It needs tiresĀ and there is a bearing noise on the rear left. Ok, no big deal I can have that fixed. The mechanic comes and tells me it's not the bearing it's the tires. Ok, I price that in even though, I know I been lied to. I go to the sales person. I ask him if there are any fees added to the vehicle on top of the sales price. He says NO! We need to run the credit to see the numbers. Even though, I am pre-qualified through the bank. I said ok. I like the vehicle and if the numbers work I'm buying the car. So, he runs the credit (pretends to get me a lower rate) when I have 800 credit and am pre qualified for $75k. Still, I want the car. So, he tells me that he got me a 7.8% from an 8 something and that my payment is $408 and some change. He does not give me for how many months or how much I am financing. I ask how much am I financing? He says $30,000. So, from $23895 with a $3000 down payment the car went to $30000. The math doesn't add up. I tell him to remove anything that is not legally required. He says he will call me tomorrow by noon for some reason. As soon as I leave, I call capital one. I ask them about what was submitted to them. They said the dealer submitted an application totaling 28000. The sales guy told me it was $30,000. There are 2000 dollars unaccounted for and through reading the negative reviews in the BBB it looks like they charge a 2000 dollar 150point inspection on the back of the loan(they are able to modifyĀ the loan after). Noon comes and no calls so, I figure I will text the salesman ( who was a nice guy) he says the sales manager is busy.Ā I tell him I just want to run the numbers for clarification. Long story short it's 5pm. I text him tell him if I don't get a call back by end of business day Monday, I will post my negative experience on all platforms possible. I get a call about 1 hour later. This is where it gets better. This manĀ proceeded to tell me that we are about $3000 dollars apart to close the deal because the car needs to have a gap insurance and extended warranty or this misterios entity that owns the car can't sell it to me ( this was not even mentioned before) I told him that I have full coverage and as soon as I sighn, capital one owns that car. He says he won't sell me the car because I need to pay that money for some company to feel safe to sell me the car. I told him: I will be forced to post my experience. He then said, we will negativly review you to your employer ( which is the dumbest thing I had heard that day). Save yourself the high blood pressure. If the name of the dealer is some like " CRAZY CARS" stear clear. They advertise low prices but trust me, you won't pay anywhere near that price. They try to hit you hard. They prey on people with low credit and financial difficulties. Imagine I had no other options. I would have to accept this indignation.Ā I just wanted a fair deal. That's too much to ask at CRAZY CARS. We all know if there...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBuying a used car is always a stressful experience. I walked into Crazy Cars armed with my own calculations, prepared for the long, difficult fight that you normally expect. However, what I encountered completely changed my perception of what a dealership can be.
āIt all started with my salesperson, Elijah. From the very first minute, he proved to be a true professional: patient, attentive, and most importantly, absolutely not pushy. He listened to all of my requirements, understood my financial goals, and worked with me, not against me. A huge thank you to him for his first-class approach.
āWhen it came down to the final numbers, the manager, Adam, joined the process. Instead of playing the standard dealership games, Adam was surprisingly honest and open. Yes, we had a complex and long negotiation, but he was committed to finding a solution that worked for both sides, not just trying to sell me a car at any cost. He and his team did a tremendous job to secure a great interest rate from the bank for me, which ultimately made the deal possible. It was a level of transparency that, frankly, I did not expect.
āBut what truly sets this place apart from all others is the genuine human connection. I want to give a special, huge thank you to Ali. Throughout the entire process, which was quite long, he repeatedly came over just to ask how I was doing and to make sure I was comfortable. That kind of personal involvement and care creates an incredible feeling that you haven't just walked into another car dealership, but into a family business where they truly care about their reputation and their customers.
āIn the end, I drove off in a beautiful 2019 Volvo XC90 that was in perfect condition, with a complete and transparent CarFax history. The team at Crazy CarsāElijah, Adam, and Aliāturned a potentially nerve-wracking process into one of the best and most memorable purchase experiences of my life. They didn't just sell me a car; they earned my trust and my loyalty.
āI recommend Crazy Cars in Hillside, NJ, without the slightest hesitation to anyone looking for an honest approach, excellent vehicles, and top-tier service. These guys are true professionals in their field.
Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePositive reviews are fake. Horrible experience yesterday. They also have 2.3 āļø on carfax. That says something.
Called them for 3 days straight multiple times. Was told that a āsalesā person would call me back since the lady on the phone could not discuss numbers. It was a 5 hour drive so I wanted to talk numbers on the phone but never got a call back.
Fourth day I decided to make the trip regardless. I get there and first thing I notice is that the car has a big dent on the hood with paint chipped. Also multiple clearly visible scratches on the rear bumper. I open up the listing on the spot and zoom inā¦none of these are visible and have clearly been PHOTOSHOPPED. No it wasnāt the angle of the picture or the lighting. There are multiple pics of those areas from different angles. The cosmetic defects were clearly edited out of the pics. This is unacceptable. And these are not casual parking lot pics. The car is staged in a nice studio so itās deliberate deception.
We go inside to talk numbers. Car is listed at 15k. Sales rep mentions tax will be roughly 1.2k. Makes sense. Registration and documentation fees is another 1k. Sure, nothing crazy. Then 3k for the scratch and dent repair membership and 3k for the gps tracking module and membership. I was like hold on I donāt need those 6k worth of add ons. I could use that extra 6k to get a better car. Sales guy tries to take off 1k from the addons that they are āgivingā me. I tell him I need no add ons as they make no sense to me. He tells me he canāt sell me the car without the addons. So in a nutshell they WOULD NOT SELL ME THE CAR AT THE LISTED PRICE!! Thatās insane. Car price plus taxes and fees?!! They wouldnāt sell me the car for that. Pure deception. Wanted to me to add 6k in addons to a 15k car or they wouldnāt sell it. Anyways I left there pretty fast.
Sales person was respectful and probably just implementing company policy. But company policies are horrible and I would recommend anyone to steer away from this place. Especially if you are driving from far to look at a car. DONT DO IT. You will return disappointed. A waste of 10 hours of driving. Donāt make the mistake I made....
