Global Bakery Plus — Restaurant in Hillside

Customer service is trash. I walked in and all I got was stares. No hello, good evening, can I help you. They just kept doing whatever they were doing. No one else was there as it was about 8pm. I had to speak first. I watched the 2 ladies do that to other customers as well. Very stoic and uninviting attitudes. I asked for a cappuccino and flan. Never got the flan. Had to go back. The one girl was incapable of telling me whether I was previously charged or how much it was. Had to wait for the other girl to come back while she chit chatted with another worker. A time later the other one finally returned with an attitude. Annoyed that I even came back. Not a pleasant experience. Flan was good though. ...

This place is amazing. Cozy, great atmosphere for breakfast. The food is always “on point”. Never old. Sometimes, they run of things, but that’s because they don’t bake “massive amount of things” to leave it on display. Food is always fresh and it keeps me coming back. I never have to check expiration date of products there. It feels good to not have to travel far from home for good “Brazilian stuff”. The delivery is impressive. Super fast too. But the most important thing, is the staff’s vibe and patience. They are super sweet, positive, attentive. On my first visit to this bakery (last month) I ordered a small coffee with an expresso shot the cost was $3.60. Expensive yet delicious, I returned. Second visit, same order…$2.50 (more like it). Today the same small coffee, only filled 1/2 way, with a shot of expresso was $4.80. I was charged $2.00 for 1/2 a small coffee.
