Shelter Cove Community Park — Attraction in Hilton Head Island

Shelter Cove Community Park is a very well-designed shopping center, community park for the whole family to enjoy. All of the photos were taken on our recent visit at Christmas and the park is just beautiful! The playground is great with rubber mulch and very cushioned for wild kids like mine:). Large grass area to run around or picnic with the family. Hilton Head puts on events there all the time such as movie nights under the stars, snow at the beach, 4th of July celebrations etc. Check with the community calendar to make sure you don't miss out on any of the great events going on there. This is a park we often take people that come to the beach to visit us. They always seem to maintain the park very well and we will continue to go there as it is just a great place to hang out, walk around, shop, eat, date night and of course go and see Santa Clause...

Shelter cove is becoming my favorite "go to" for everything. There's so many restaurants that toy can easily walk between...we took a stroll among them last time looking at the outside posted menus till we found one that pleased both of us. There's also tons of cute shops, Kroger, Belks, and of course the Marina. Music and family fun on Tuesdays as well as weekly fireworks. We've found many restaurants have music on other nights also. Best of all, we can bike there or take a free shuttle from palmetto dunes. I've also seen where they've added a trolley from shelter cove to Coligney but we haven't tried that yet. ...

A very nice and well maintained park in Hilton Head. There is a walking trail that goes around the park and a large stage for live music. When we visited there was a live band and there was plenty of space for people to place their lawn chairs and listen to the band. The boardwalk has a very scenic view of the marshland that extends back inward. Beautiful at sunset!

Had too take one star off because there is not much parking. The one small row of parking was full of people going to shopping/restaurants when we visited so we had to park in the Kroger Parking lot and walk...
